Karga tulumba sürükledi
Bahçeyi dozer.
Bağ kütükleri,
Kaysı dalları, ayvalar...
Sürüklenip atıldı topluca.
Harç karıp beton attılar.
Diktiler binaları
Bir dal bile dikmeden önüne.
Çim yeşertmeye,
Gül dalı tutturmaya calışıyorum
Apartmanımızın kenarına.
Çocuğuma doğayı yaşatacağım.

The "matter of factness" which surrounds us at all times can be quite poetic.
This made for a very nice monochrome Topographics image, but I couldn’t turn away from the banana yellow on that Mediterranean blue sky.
This was originally shot for the 52 weeks for dogs project. but I ended up going with a high key b&w conversion for the group submission. This week the big event for me and the dogs was a major ramping of construction in "our" field. For 15 years I have walked 2 generations of dogs in this area but alas, its days are numbered. On Wednesday this week we headed over to cut through the field to get to our wetland trail and there were several dump trucks, bulldozers and backhoes going full tilt. The construction is at a standstill for the long weekend so we sent back on Saturday even for some photo ops. Once back home the original version of the shot (RAW conversion above) did not look nearly so good as on the camera so I started to play around with b&w and high key conversions (pictured below) only to find out that next weeks challenge is actually "black & white outdoors" so I have inadvertently jumped the gun a bit. Oh the bulldozer in the title is both Sampson and the mechanical one. When Sampson runs in the woods he every so often gets bug eyed and just bulldozes through everything in his path :)
A detail image from one of the bulldozers at Ngawi - I'm sure there must be a story behind this illustration, but I don't know what it is!

After a lot of trial-and-error, my Caterpillar bulldozer is ready. This was not an easy build: the dozer blade was too thick, the tracks wouldn't work properly, and I struggled to find enough space in the cab for an operator. However, it all came together eventually.
The model is intended as the load for my Peterbilt, so next up is building the low loader!

Caterpillar D9 near Tunica, Ms. Working days are over for this one, the track is off the RH side. I was told it has been sitting here for about 10 years.
