Bollenvelden bij Noordwijk, flowerfields in Holland

In the olden days, when we were still living in Amsterdam, we had a little 'home away from home' smack in the middle of the bulbfields by the dunes in Egmond. This field started 5 feet from my window. Spectacular views for a couple of weeks a year!

Daags voor het 'koppen'

Sunday 15th of April we had the warmest day in April ever.

And I have never seen the bulbfields so beautiful!

March to May in Holland near Leiden is full of bulb fields of many colours. What I found interesting was that the heads are cut off in their prime as it is the bulbs that are important.
