It was only a bud when I first looked at it in the morning. By the time I photographed it in the afternoon, it was already a blooming flower. I think this flower is called Margarita.

The above photo is a sunflower field on the way during my working trip. Their blooming time is October to December in Saraburi and Loburi province, Thailand. I intended to go to this area again to only take some nice photos, but never have a chance to do. Have to wait until next year.:)

Tropical flowers in Villa Escudero , Philippines
Latin name: Caesalpinia pulcherrima
Dutch name: Pauwenbloem
English name (just one of them) : Peacock flower
Also known as: poinciana , red bird of paradise , Mexican bird of paradise, dwarf poinciana, pride of Barbados, and flamboyant-de-jardin.
It is also the national flower of Barbados.
As you might have read in our story abour Villa Escudero, it's a plantation as well. So it does have a wide range of beautiful , tropical , flowers to photograph.
Here's just one of them. For tactical reasons I'm keeping the rest for the winter time, because spring is here and now many people are uploading flower shots. Also I'm using this floral intermezzo as a chapter break for the next chapter of our Villa Escudero serie.

The yellow flower field seen here is the main destination for our trip. These flowers bloom once a year from the full moon night of November and last for only 2 weeks. The above photo is the side view of the mountain which has the last curve of road before reaching the mountain top. Before reaching this place we have to fly from home and travel on the road, pass more than 1,864 curves before reaching here.
