Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark, is situated on the east coast of the Danish island of Zealand, the largest of Denmark’s approximately 500 islands. The entire country is in size, one half the area of Maine. The name Copenhagen or “Kobenhavn” means “Merchant Harbor” and it is believed that the city was founded in 1167 by Bishop Absalon, at the spot where fishermen and merchants gathered to market their goods.

Shot this at night in New York City around midnight after getting my new 5D mark III and a 200 mm lens. I ran around the city, it was November about 30° outside freezing my ass off. Fingers are numb but I was still snapping shots of people and things I saw in the city. Street artists are pretty popular.. This was one of them.

Sam Houston used this as his law office. From the SHSU web site, "According to family tradition, no women or children were allowed into this building. Joshua, Sam's personal slave, was allowed inside to clean up periodically." Considering the tiny size, I can't imagine much clearning was necessary!
