The Monastery of Batalha was erected in commemoration of the 1385 Battle of Aljubarrota, and would serve as the burial church of the 15th-Century Aviz dynasty of Portuguese royals. It is one of the best and original examples of Late Gothic architecture in Portugal, intermingled with the Manueline style.

One Raffles Place. That's the address of one of the tallest buildings in S'pore. It is said to be the tallest building in Asia and even properly the tallest outside US during the 1980s period, when it was completed. It's none other then the OUB Centre. There's a plaque on the building that writes about it.
The other 2 tallest buildings are UOB Plaza and Republic Plaza, all 3 buildings stands tall at only 280m. Due to aviation heights regulations, buildings in S'pore can only reach to that limit.
If I'm not wrong, the building sits on the former robinson building site that was destroyed by fire in the 1970s. And after that, comes the tallest building in S'pore.
