Robber Fly - I never saw a bug like this before. My wife asked me to take this shot and she is more scared of bugs then me................. This guy had to be three inches long................Down by the River
A cropped version of the picture I took at Fraser's Hill, Malaysia. This bug was hiding inside a plant and trying to come out. I scared it back inside again and took its picture. Hehehe...

My bugs had a field trip to "Japanese style garden" -> my flower bench. 8D
A little menagerie of bugs on common buttercups. One of the bugs is in mid-air. It took a while to get this shot because they were all afraid of the camera and movement at first, but eventually they returned for me to take the photo. I'm not sure what the little blue flowers are.
i took this shot of a bug (dont know the species) from canon A490...no editing, totally original pic. light conditions were very good.
i found this lil critter on the window sill at work. sadly, he is dead, but his body is in the most excellent condition. finally, a cute dead bug to add to my collection.

Order: Hemiptera (True Bugs, Cicadas, Aphids, Hoppers, Whiteflies, and Mealybugs).
Size: 4-7mm.
Range: Widespread in North America to southern Mexico.
Description: These insects are active from spring through fall in gardens, fields, and meadows, feeding on the juices of stems, leaves, and fruits of over 200 species of plants. Females lay eggs into soft stems and leafstalks.
