This was a ride we did during a recent Trip to "the land" about 30 miles west of Trinidad Colorado during the memorial weekend of 2007.
Silvia and I took the DR650 and went on an all day ride on the remote back dirt roads in southern Colorado.

Located 2 miles north of Socorro, exit 152. Go east at stop sign until road turns; go north 6 miles to Escondida Lake Park sign. Enjoy fishing and camping. The Park has RV hookups, tent sites, bathrooms and water.
We stopped by to have luch at this hut by the gulf.
