It was kind of like Honey I Shrunk the Kids, minus Rick Moranis.

I don't know what kind of bug is this, but it has good shades on its wings.

This is a photo of the extremely rare, red eyed yellow wing tip Office Bug….

I don’t know why, but none of my original ideas for these themes are panning out, and once more I was forced to improvise. Not a great shot – but I had fun. This is right out of the camera – no processing at all, no time to do any WB correction, etc.

Last night I had hoped to shoot a yellow Volkswagen Beetle. That would have been a combo shot – Automobile, yellow, and bug! But the person with the yellow bug did not come through for me. Well, at least this one has the requisite “six legs” (even if they are binder clips!).

This photo was taken on 8 May 2010 in the Houston Arboretum, Houston, TX, US, using a Nikon D90.

Didn't have a chance to catch this little guys name.

Here on a ridge between the Chelan and Entiat valleys, large areas of forest are stressed or dead from spruce budworm, bark beetle and other infestations. It would appear that in this area, what trees that fire doesn't get, the bugs will.

The public library Summer Reading theme for 2008 was Catch the Reading Bug! So of course Stories With Claire provided a program about bugs. One of my friends asked me to include a publicity picture on Flickr -- so here goes!

The Florida leaf-footed bug (Acanthocephala femorata) is a species of insect. The genus name Acanthocephala means "spiny head" and was inspired by the pointed tylus at the tip of the head.[2] Acanthocephala femorata is found in the continental United States and Mexico.[1]

This insect is considered a pest, eating and causing damage to citrus and roses. The lower rear legs are wider than the upper legs, with serrations. This is especially pronounced in the male. It has long, slim, curving antennae with distinctive orange tips. The body is reddish brown to nearly black.

saw these flowers last night, but didn't have my camera, and couldn't get back out until after dark.

while I was taking macro shots, I suddenly realized these bugs were crawling all over the flowers. Thought they were kind of funky.

www.linenspa.com/Products/ Perhaps the most popular is the vinyl mattress cover because it is the cheapest so it is easily found in most stores. However, you should know that it gets hot under you the longer you sleep on it and it also makes crinkly noises as you change sleeping positions. If you feel you can live with this then this may be the best option for you if you are on a tight budget.

Bugs on the ship

This is a bug that was looking through our door and at times directly at my camera. It must have seen its reflection and seeing something opposite, it may have thought it was an opportunity to meet someone. It followed my camera at times and I had to move some more backwards. it may have been uninvited, but i can't say it was unwelcome.

Found a Giant Water Bug wandering around, so I took him home and set up a little table top studio and fired away!

The beetle restoration continues. Body almost complete, just a little bit of finishing off to do. Pans now on the chassis and cleaning up for paint.
