This is a small section of the wall of a chedi or stupa at a Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Thailand. We were told that the buildings of this complex were made in the Cambodian Buddhist style.

The temple's origins date from the 11th century but the central stupa is thought to originate in the 9th century.Wat Phra That Hariphunchai's earliest origins were in 897 when the then king of Hariphunchai is said to have built a stupa (now the central stupa) to house a hair of the Buddha The present compound, founded by Hariphunchai King Athitayarai, dates from 1044.
The temple was first rebuilt in 1443 by King Tilokaraja of Lanna kingdom Chiang Mai. The temple's pyramid-shaped Chedi Suwanna was built in 1418. In the 1930s temple renovations were made by the northern Thai monk Khru Ba Sriwichai
The Vietnamese Buddhist Temple is being decorated in preparation to celebrating its 35th year and the inauguration of the new Buddha Hall, March 28 – March 30. As well as ceremonial gatherings, there will be folklore activities including traditional dances, poetry reading, and calligraphy. The center is located at 10002 Synott. On regular days it is a peaceful, contemplative place to relax away from the pressures of the city. Particularly beautiful when the Lotus flowers are in bloom.
