"Every life has its measure of pain. Sometimes this causes our awakening."
Buddha
It's a poster of Buddha that I have hanging on the wall. Unfortunately, I couldn't find out anything about the photographer and this work.
Buddha relic dome of Bao'en temple heritage park.
It's said there are 4200 lights on the dome, which are reflected on the glass floor, which doubles the amount.
It's also said the lights keep rotating in seven changing colors.

Quinta dos Loridos, where the impressive Buddha Eden - the largest oriental garden in Europe, can be found. The oriental garden with around 35 hectares of land was created as a reaction to the destruction of the Buddhas of Banyan, in which one of the greatest acts of cultural barbarity took place, erasing masterpieces of late-period Gandhara art.

The Leshan Giant Buddha is the largest stone Buddha in the world, standing at 71 meters (233 feet) tall. The statue was built between 713 and 803 and is carved out of a cliff face of Cretaceous red sandstone. The Buddha is impressive to view from the bottom, and even more impressive when viewed from the top.
The Laughing Buddha is a new addition to the garden. He more or less jumped into my shopping cart at the garden centre and insisted on going home with me. Upon his arrival in the garden he immediately made new freinds, among them a certain fluffy Dragon. :)
The religion's founder, Buddha, is considered an extraordinary being, but not a god. The word Buddha means “enlightened.” The path to enlightenment is attained by utilizing morality, meditation and wisdom. Buddhists often meditate because they believe it helps awaken truth.

The Big Buddha is a large bronze sculpture of Buddha, completed in 1993, and located at Ngong Ping, near Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island, Hong Kong.
The sculpture's base is a model of the one in the United Kingdom. One of the five large Buddha images in China, it is enthroned on a lotus on top of a three-platform altar. Surrounding it are six smaller bronze images known as "The Offering of the Six Devas" that are posed offering flowers, incense, lamp, ointment, fruit, and music to the Buddha, representing the Six Perfections of generosity, morality, patience, zeal, meditation, and wisdom, necessary for Enlightenment in life.
The 34 m (112 ft) tall image weighs over 250 metric tons (280 short tons), and was constructed from 202 bronze pieces. In addition to the exterior components, there is a strong steel framework inside to support the heavy load. Visitors have to climb 268 steps to reach the Buddha. The Buddha's right hand is raised, representing the removal of affliction, while the left rests open on his lap in a gesture of generosity.
A reclining Buddha is a statue that represents Buddha lying down and is a major iconographic and statuary pattern of Buddhism. It represents the historical Buddha during his last illness, about to enter the parinirvana. He is lying on the right flank, his head resting on a cushion or relying on his right elbow, supporting his head with his hand.

Jatropha podagrica is a succulent plant in the family Euphorbiaceae. It is native to the tropical Americas but is grown as an ornamental plant in many parts of the world due to its unusual appearance.
The Buddha belly plant is a poisonous plant. The fruit and sap of the plant are toxic, so be sure to keep the plant away from small children and pets. You can do this by placing it on a windowsill that's high off the ground or in a garden that's reasonably fenced off.
Barrie... your the only person I know that has one... how is yours doing??
