We've got this large glass paperweight knocking around the office. I saw the sun shining through it and thought... 'That looks interesting...' Taken using Ixus 80 on macro.
After a long day on the farm; watering horses, moving cattle, working in the garden, and making Ken's dinner, Bubble Bath Barbie likes to a take a refreshing dip in her private barn bath tub. Add some bubbles, and let the day worries just wash away.

When I first opened the dictionary to this weeks page I was left without any ideas, but this idea eventually popped in my head given that I'm currently on my summer holiday with my family in Mallorca. I've been fascinated with underwater photography for years, and first experimented like this back in 2012 (scontent-mad1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/…/468431_2778177723246…) using a disposable waterproof camera. Since then I've started using a small underwater digital camera for these photoshoots, and that led to this image last summer (scontent-mad1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/…/10557735_55696366441…), and then this one this year.
Flying back to England tomorrow for an August full of seeing my friends before we all leave, a music festival, parties, and results day.
Have you ever had one of those weeks where bubbles are the only things that will make it better? TGIF

When snow flakes fall on a bubble they slide down the bubble's surface and collect around the bottom.
Bubbles are one of my favorite things in the whole world.
So beautiful and complex in their simplicity.
Going a bit abstract ... and I like it.
Charche salivates the second he lays eyes on a treat. At first he starts blowing bubbles but give him a minute and there is a puddle on the ground!
More bubble experiments...Too warm for the bubbles to freeze, but I wanted to see how they behaved out in falling snow. When snow landed on the bubbles, the flakes would slide down and collect at the bottom, it was cool to watch them gliding on the surface. The free floating bubbles wouldn't stick around long enough to collect a noticeable amount, so I kind of cheated and held this one out for a minute or two.
This is a rework of one of my bubbles pictues. I used unsharp masking and replace the middle the of the big bubble with a sharp bubble formation taken from a shot of it with another depth of focus. Now it's ready to decorate my wall *yEaH*.

Their joy over such simple things as bubbles had me laughing too.

Decided that bubbles seem very calm. Except when attempting to photograph them.
Day 044 - #Photo365 - Calmness
Bubbles in the ice in a cave that had had about 1-2 meters of water in it and that had all frozen. Apparently ice allows gases to pass through like this, even though very slowly. I have no idea how long it would take for those bubbles to get to the top and burst, but I'm just glad I caught them in mid-ice. The cave was a big one, something into which you might fit a few cars, if not even a bus. There were bubbles like this all over the ice. It was dark, though, so it was quite difficult to get good photos. The brown thing behind the bubbles is a log or some other wooden junk that the cave also had.
