Pastry Brush for “Brush” Macro Monday
Pastry brush cleaned after being used to brush the singing lily with milk before baking; this tray bake cake has different names in different parts of the country and was usually made to use up left over pastry. This one has mixed dried fruit and glace cherries - my favourite - you can add cooked baking apples - Pauline’s favourite – or sweet mincemeat at Christmas, all of these are Jim’s favourite, serve hot with custard or cold spread with butter and a cup of tea!

A hot day for the Brush Cuckoo and it is showing some stress from the heat. Photographed at Woodstock in North Queensland.
If the kids had it their way, it'd be chocolate syrup instead of toothpaste ; )

DDC-Tools & Awsome
I got two of these cool brushes from Italy a long time ago. One for Chloe and one for me, but I ended up using mine on Shizandra. She loves it!
Macro Mondays, theme: Brush
A clothes brush, with metal bristles.
A vintage Nikkor 50 mm - f/1.4 lens was reverse-mounted on the camera using a reversal ring and two 27.5 mm extension tubes. The aperture was set to f/1.4.
The width of the brush is about 1/2 inch.
Painted with iPad using a screen grab from one of my old iPhone paintings, then changed with Brushes and Quaternion Julia Raytracer

The Australian brushturkey or Australian brush-turkey or gweela (Alectura lathami), also frequently called the scrub turkey or bush turkey, is a common, widespread species of mound-building bird from the family Megapodiidae found in eastern Australia from Far North Queensland to Eurobodalla on the south coast of New South Wales. The Australian brushturkey has also been introduced to Kangaroo Island in South Australia. It is the largest extant representative of the family Megapodiidae, and is one of three species to inhabit Australia.
Despite its name and their superficial similarities, the bird is not closely related to American turkeys, nor to the Australian bustard, which is also known as the bush turkey. Its closest relatives are the wattled brush turkey, Waigeo brush turkey, and mallee fowl.
well gums, mommy brushes his 5 teeth then I give him the brush and let him get used to it, one of his favorite things to do
Cuculidae (Cacomantis variolosus)
A call that I hadn't heard before alerted me of it's presence giving a 1st sighting for me, terrible light but got some shots off for my records. Similar to it's cousin the Fan-tailed Cuckoo but paler in colour and no yellow ring around the eye.
Aug. 30, 1985: A Ventura County Fire helicopter drops water on a hot spot during a Friday evening blaze off White Stallion Road in Newbury Park. The blaze, which fire officials say was set by two young boys, burned about 30 acres.
This was my Dad's antique drafting brush. He was a surveyor and would use it to clear off eraser bits. The horsehair brush is for the Macro Mondays theme of brush. HMM
This happened night before last. No damage as far as I know. My house is off the screen to the right.
60090 is unloaded at its birthplace, Loughborough Brush works, after the relatively short journey from Toton, joining 60061, 60009, 60080, 60038 & 60008. Elsewhere on the complex are 60013/022/075 & 098, which are possibly to be the first 4 to be overhauled here for DCR.
The Australian Bottle brush has a number of varieties and they evolve from a number of buds on a stem
Photo taken for the June 14, 2021 Macro Mondays theme: pick two. My choices were striped + brush.
I think the bristles came this way...although the rust is not from the factory. ;)
The bristles are approx. 1" across.
