Burano, Italy - right next to Venice. It has only canals and no cars like Venice, but it has no palaces. The houses are really this colorful. It is a delightful place where handmade lace is one of their principal exports.
Cacomantis variolosus
took me 1 minute to get a clear shot and only just avoided oof parts as it was deep in the tree. like shooting through a key hole lol
The lively and colorful brush in Fish Creek Park contrasts well with the rather still and solid blues in the sky and the water.
Smaller of the two wattlebirds found on the S.E. coast of Australia, lacking visible wattles. Habitat is coastal heath and woodland.

I think I got my moneys worth out of this very old "Dress Makers Marking Pencil Brush." It is worn down to a nubbin and can't be sharpened any more. It measures exactly one and a half inches in length.

Trichosurus vulpecula. A common Brushtail that is perhaps the most abundant Possum in Australia. Usually nocturnal spending the day in a den in a hollow branch. Also found in some parks in major cities. Only lives for around 11 to 13 years. Unfortunately this animal does venture into peoples roof spaces and shown little tolerance.
