[Cinoe] Riverside breakfast

Taken on the backroads of Dubois County Indiana near Patoka Lake State Park. A doe nurses her fawn captured as I was heading back to camp for the day.
I was sad to notice that the fawn has a pretty good infection going on in its left jaw. I googled it and it is somewhat common and could go away on its own, or progress and be deadly. My prayer is that it will progress in the positive direction. Not wanting to disrupt any more than I had, I went on my way quickly.
Searching for the beauty of this world often exposes the sad.

This delicate meadow goes through major changes over a year. It's under snow right now and soon it will be under 20 feet of snow. As it melts tarns form and then they dry in the summer sun, that's when the flowers bloom and the land becomes alive once more.
This Korean couple chose a great spot for a snack, couldn't pass up the op. :-)
I have one more day in Everette and then our son comes to visit from NY, so I'll probably be spotty again this week. I hope that all of you get to spend time with loved ones and that the joy that is the season for family finds you. See you up the trail!
