Allthough known for rhino, Hluhluwe-Umfolozi is also probably the best park in Africa to see Nyala. Especially the bulls are wonderful.
This white rhino looked us over then came right up to the car and checked each of us out, peering through first the driver's side window then the passenger's side window. That horn looked mighty big that close up and we were both frozen with terror. Fortunately, finding nothing that smelled like food, he wandered away after a few minutes and we beat a hasty retreat!

JF Groff delivered a very exciting talk about the birth of the WWW.
This is the prototype of the first web browser ever - ahead of it's time you could say, with styles support and wiki-like capabilities.
The whole www thing was developed at CERN. This app was running on a NEXT computer.
As you can see, the webcore driven Omniweb tabs are less harsh in their rendering. It also highlights the tab your on, whereas Tab Sidebar doesn't
I was browsing through a wildlife photographers images, whenI noticed that his image data suggested he used apertures of F10 on most of his images. Although this makes sense as he's often using 500mm and 600mm's with 1.4x and 2x converters and the depth of field is so shallow, I thought why would u also not want to keep a white aperture for faster shutter speeds. I thought I'd give wider apertures a go and hearing the sparrows in the garden I thought I'd try it. I learned a few things however..
Firstly that you really do need the faster shutter speeds on the non IS lens I have if your shooting hand held but also that there is some improvement in Depth of field but the bird would have to be qutie close to notice it.
Also that if I did shoot further from wide open then F8 would probably be as high as I needed to go 99.9% of the time.
And lastly I really do find it hard to hand hold this non IS lens and constantly get sharp images, but after trying the monopod it makes a vast improvement! So support is going to be the key for getting the best from this lens.
I think I had a more enjoyable 5 mintures today than a whole day in Conwy Yesterday. Just goes to show don't over look your own garden for it's enjoyment potential with wildlife.
