So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from hell
Blue skies from pain
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
Did they get you to trade
Your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl
Year after year
Running over the same old ground
And how we found
The same old fears
Wish you were here

This small bridge was found in the surroundings of Hovdala Slott, Sweden. The picture makes me want to move on...

The brother man drew the short straw for his ride back to Fond Du Lac, but begrudgingly approves of his leader as they bang across our Fox Lake Subdivision at Grayslake, IL.

Recrew complete, the evening Cadillac crew rolls through Manton with a pair of 35's, kicking up a lot of dust and a nice big wave from the engineer. GLC for the most part is still a down to earth old school railroad, and it still has that look and feeling.

was a Canadian piano manufacturer based in London and later Ingersoll, Ontario, that manufactured about 400 pianos a year from 1871 until 1935. Like many other piano manufacturers, Evans Bros could not survive a combination of the Great Depression and changing tastes in entertainment (the advent of radio and the increasing popularity of record players changed the face of home entertainment).
This upright piano is the oldest item in our family, and retains a certain charm even if it's not played as often as it used to be. Candy got me going on some spring cleaning, and as I dusted around the piano I saw some inspiration for a photo.
Bro from the beginning was a much better skater (and still is even though I do it more than him now!).
Taken the real first time we put skates on in 1989 (or was it 1988?).
