"What does the brook say to you,
At dawn when it flushes,
And kisses the rushes.
With murmurs and blushes?
As it sings,
Does it tell you of wonderful things,
Till you think every wish must come true?
For I do —
What does the brook say to you?
What does the brook say to you.
When the sun hangs its head.
When the west is all red,
And the day is near sped?
As it flows ;
Does it promise surcease of all woes,
Till you thrill with a hope that is new?
For I do -
What does the brook say to you?
What does the brook say to you,
When the moonlight in streams,
Like a shower of dreams.
On its dark surface gleams?
As it sighs
Does it bring faltering tears to your eyes.
Till you long for forgiveness to sue?
For I do -
What does the brook say to you?
Love, does the brook say to you.
In the dark, in the light.
In the day, in the night,
In despair, in delight.
As it rolls,
That one are our hearts and our souls,
For life, and eternity too?
For I do.
What does the brook say to you?"

Not a stream, but its own particular sort of being. Given to tinkles and pools, loving shade. Sit, watch, and time recedes.

The embankment through the low meadows of Ver-Assebroek now offers views over flooded meadows. Left is the brook, and on the righ-hand side of the embankment there is a ditch and next to it flooded meadows.
In the little ancient wood lies a little ancient bridge over a little ancient brook.

The beautiful bridge near the entrance to Padley Gorge.
My last shot of Brooks Falls, seems like I may have shot more here than other places but the light was extremely good during mid-morning so I took full advantage, just by the contours of the narrow deep little gorge you will have plenty to work with in post. After you have had a chance to look over the falls from the top you should make you way down to see them up close there are many trail leading down the stream to the rapids and falls choose the less direct route unless you have some mountain goat blood.
When you have had your waterfall fill you can explore the rest of the this beautiful area, Perry is the gateway township to the Almaguin Highlands and is combined with the villages of Emsdale/Novar for most practical purposes and is home to the Seguin trail one of Fall’s prettiest hikes in the region. The small hamlet of Emsdale is easily missed as it is just a little collection of families not far off of Highway 11 but it is one worth stopping for, just remember it is Brooks not Burk’s Falls and you will do fine.
I took this on Sept 19, 2021 with my D850 and Tamron 24-70 f2.8 G2 Lens at 24mm, 0.8s, f8 ISO 64 processed in LR, PS +Topaz ,and DXO

Seen during a Morning Walk last Sunday in the Historic City of Berne, Switzerland. If you look for them you can find a Variety of BROOKS´s in Berne.

If you want to know a little bit more about me as a Photographer:
Lots of flow and lots of mist. I didn't have a rain coat with me, so this was as close as I wanted to get.
Another image from Brook's Falls outside of Emsdale Ontario; this one a wider angle showing the lower area of the falls and better displaying the forest canopy that engulfs the Magnetawan River.
