Brooklyn is a borough of New York City, coextensive with Kings County, in the U.S. state of New York. Kings County is the most populous county in the State of New York, and the second-most-densely-populated county in the United States, behind New York County (Manhattan). Brooklyn is also New York City's most populous borough, with 2,736,074 residents in 2020. If Brooklyn were an independent city, it would be the third most populous in the U.S. after the rest of New York City and Los Angeles, and ahead of Chicago.
Walking over the Brooklyn Bridge early morning was a total contrast to walking over it later on in the day - so nice and peaceful early morning with mostly runners for company, by the afternoon it was pandemonium!

Freedom Tower WTC & Lower Manhattan View at Sunset from North 5th St Pier and Park Williamsburg Brooklyn New York City NY P00685 DSC_1485
Seen from the living room of my son and belle-fille's Brooklyn home on the tenth floor up.....a different view with this 50mm lens than what the eye really sees, or is it the mind?? I focused on the Empire State Building and in reality, the skyline is what is dominant, not the areas of Brooklyn you see here.....

A fine example of the walk ups lining the streets of the the Park Slope district of Brooklyn, New York.
The Brooklyn Museum is one the finest art museums in the region with a nice collection of classic and modern art and definitely a must see if you ever visit New York City.
The Brooklyn Bridge is a hybrid cable-stayed/suspension bridge in New York City, spanning the East River between the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Opened on May 24, 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge was the first fixed crossing of the East River. It was also the longest suspension bridge in the world at the time of its opening, with a main span of 1,595.5 feet (486.3 m) and a deck 127 ft (38.7 m) above mean high water. The span was originally called the New York and Brooklyn Bridge or the East River Bridge but was officially renamed the Brooklyn Bridge in 1915.
Almost at the end of the New York shots containing iconic views. Here an extreme storm has finished and the throngs of tourists nowhere to be seen. AKA bliss!
Merci à ce sympathique photographe new-yorkais qui m'a prêté son 14-24 et donné de multiples conseils.
NYNJ 5101 squeezes through the early morning traffic on 1st Avenue with four gondolas for Sims Metal Management in tow. The crew has just made it through the Brooklyn Army Terminal in the background and will run several blocks down 1st Ave toward Industry City to drop their cars at Bush Terminal. Due to a jammed gate at the other end of Bush Terminal yard, the crew couldn't reach Sims this day and would return the following morning to switch their currently sole customer on the former Cross Harbor Railroad trackage. Brooklyn, NY
I remember coming to the Brooklyn Bridge when I was a kid and I wanted to get a shot that I remembered from the night I was there. Well, it looks like that area is under construction so I couldn't find a good spot for that image I have in my head. But this was the best I could do and I wasn't going to not take a picture of it. And something is up with this lens.
