After the passage of a storm, Amtrak’s westbound Empire Builder thunders by the classic Milwaukee Road wood-framed depot at Brookfield, Wisconsin, on June 2, 1990.
Soo Line train 943 rattles the bay windows of the Brookfield depot on the afternoon of May 27, 1990. Candy-apple SD60 No. 6052 leads the westbound on this pleasant spring day in Wisconsin. Was this really 30 years ago?!

It wasn’t snowing yet in Milwaukee when CP train 425 departed, but by the time it got to Brookfield, the weather forecasters were right. A rare pair of Burlington Northern EMD SD70MACs—rare at least, operating on Canadian Pacific—pass the Brookfield depot with train 425 as dusk approaches on January 26, 1996.
The sun is hard pressed to make an appearance just after sunup at Brookfield, for the maiden run of a newly rebuilt Canadian Pacific SD70ACU leading down the Watertown sub on eastbound train 286. Sun or not, it's a fine looking locomotive to see.

I hope you all are enjoying a wonderful start of 2017.
Dave and I took a trip to Canada at the end of the year, and I hoped to capture Niagara Falls all frosted over. Sadly, it was not cold enough for that to happen, and the amount of rain the nature produces during our visit shattered most of my other outdoor photography plans. So instead of the great outdoors, here is a shot of Brookfield Place in Toronto. It's a combination of 12 different shots to remove people, who, in the holiday mall, were more than plentiful.
On the other hand, amazing nature shots are coming soon, as Dave and I will set out for a 2,660 mile hike from Mexico border to Canada in April. Stay tuned. :-)
Curving into the setting sun, Amtrak 7, the westbound 'Empire' Builder', hits the top of the grade at Brookfield, Wisconsin's old Milwaukee Road depot.
One tower at Brookfield Place is seen reflected in the other... Brookfield Place tower. Front Street West between Bay and Yonge Streets, Toronto.
An illuminated glass tiled floor leads the way down the Allen Lambert Galleria atrium inside Brookfield Place. Designed by architect Santiago Calatrava (1992).
