Broken Earth Cafe / Restaurant sits on top of a pile of waste rock excavated from the open cut mine in the middle of Broken Hill NSW Australia. The cafe has spectacular views of the city of Broken Hill, especially at night. The foundations of one of the original mine smelters can be seen in the foreground.

the rough side of the broken and tumbled agate from near Cox's Fishing Camp. It is easy to see why I picked this one up. (of course it is much cleaner than when I found it!)
On my way into work, I walked by one of the glass towers in the downtown core of Ottawa. At the foot of one of these was a bunch of panes of glass that were broken. It made for an interesting photo...

Just uploaded a selection of 25 photos to show I'm still alive and taking photos, even though I've not been Flickring much lately. See here for most of the reasons I've been 'away'. Hope to be back in full action very soon! I miss everyone.
This rickety old bridge has finally given up the ghost after 50 years' sterling service. We were able to walk around to the other side.
The camp host at Calf Creek told us about Broken Bow arch. The drive out there is an ordeal. High clearance vehicle needed for sure. About an hour of constant wash-board. The hike is three miles to the arch, following cairns and the creek bed. Pictures of the arch just don't do it any justice at all. You are following the trail, turn a corner and this massive arch suddenly appears out of nowhere. In the pictures, you can't tell the size except in a few you can see a tiny person (either myself or my husband) underneath. As the creek cuts under the arch, there is a washout created where you can camp under the overhang on the shores of the creek. We were the third and fourth people there the entire week. The trail was so clean. The only signs of humans were cairns and foot prints. Save water for the hike out. The last little bit (and the first, but you're fresh then) has no shade and the last few yards, you have to scramble up loose sand to the trail head.
"Broken Chair" made for Handicapped International, an anti-landmine NGO by Swiss Visual Artist, Daniel Berset in 1997. This huge chair is placed in United Nations Square, in front of the United Nations European Headquarters (Place des Nations), Geneva, Switzerland. It represents the victims of landmines.
One of the nearest properties to the explosion. The elderly couple (who slept downstairs) walked away dazed and confused but thankfully without injury!
A broken heart necklace I cut out of sterling silver sheet. To see more jewelry I've made visit my etsy site: www.honeypunch.etsy.com

The Best Friend.
The background could've been better, but this was just a random shot that really wasn't meant to come out this way.

I was hoping for a spectacular set of clouds for sunset on the day this was taken. Fortunately I made a few images of these clouds while we had some. I've had rotten luck lately with the clouds all clearing off just before the sun decends for the day.
Completely un planned and stunning. So suprised myself today.
Beckiiimay again. I love her sooo much, might well be my latest muse.
Many of the buildings at Ports o' Call seem to be empty and abandoned, and some in poor repair... this one had this oddly broken window frame, and a few broken windows above.
