18 James by Donna Szoke
The life casting James features the torso of a slight young man. The work is cast in evedur-silicon bronze, an alloy known for its high detail and its warm, inviting colour. The bronze torso displays a great degree of surface detail, including skin texture.
“First we thought the PC was a calculator. Then we found out how to turn numbers into letters with ASCII — and we thought it was a typewriter. Then we discovered graphics, and we thought it was a television. With the World Wide Web, we've realized it's a brochure.” - Douglas Adams

8. “Lislehurst” UTM Principal’s Residence
(c. 1882) University of Toronto Mississauga 3369 Principal’s Road
Lislehurst is the last remaining trio of Tudor-styled houses built by the Schreiber family in the 1880s on 150 acres of land. The property was left in trust to the children of Weymouth Schreiber and his wife Harriet DeLisle in 1869. Weymouth George and his family arrived in Canada around 1875, and built summer houses in Erindale. Their three homes on this property were named Lislehurst, Mount Woodham and Iverholme. The family also built a nearby house for their groundskeeper. In 1913 Iverholme burned, and in 1928 the entire estate was sold to Reginald Watkins, who tore down Mount Woodham and enlarged Lislehurst. The property was purchased by the University of Toronto in 1964, and Lislehurst became the principal’s private residence. An Ontario Heritage Trust plaque near the entrance to Principal’s Road honours Charlotte Schreiber.
Skateboard Company Brochure design template by Angel Alforo.Showcased on Inkd.com.
A skate company could use this brochure to describe different board characteristics. The simple exterior uses intersecting lines and extensions of the letters from the title to create an interesting geometric grid, which is laid over a rough texture. The grid and texture are repeated on the inside, along with board and deck descriptions. The aesthetic of the brochure created by the grid and texture captures the youthful essence of the skateboarding culture.

Two Canadian municipal operators placed orders for Daimler's new Roadliner model, who knows, maybe wooed by the offer of an American built Cummins Diesel engine (back when the two countries were best buddies!)
Duple's 'Midland' works (Willowbrook) provided the bodywork to a style which went on to be more usually associated with 'lightweight' chassis here in the UK. If I'm not mistaken, these Roadliners were the first incarnatuion of the type. The Duple parts bin appears to have yielded the large orange front indicator lenses which had been used on the Vega series of coach bodies.
The bus illustrated here in the Roadliner brochure was one ordered by Calgary. The other municipal was Edmonton. One of the latter survived into preservation but sadly fell by the wayside and was scrapped.
The Daimler Roadliner brochure contains several pleasing photos of their new baby. The text also contains inspiring info for potential purchasers as you might expect, such that you might believe the Roadliner was heading to be a world beater.
Before that illusion was destroyed, a handful of left hand drive coaches were built for export to North America, and this particular one to a European operator. I'm willing to bet a meat and potato pie, there were no follow-up orders.
Anyway, here's a very attractive looking Plaxton Panorama 1 bodied SRC6 with Warsaw on the blind.

This is a scan of the front and rear cover of a Kodak sales brochure from 1936, simply titled "KODAK". On the front you will see what looks like a mother and father with their daughter going out for a picnic. The daughter appears to be carrying either a Kodak Brownie Six-16 or Six-20 camera. Inside there are advertisements and price listings for various models of Kodak Brownie, Baby Brownie, Jiffy, Bantam and Retina cameras. On the rear cover you will see an advertisement reminding customers to: "always ask for Kodak film in the yellow box".
Kodak was one of the few American companies to thrive during the Great Depression, with its stock value nearly doubling by the end of the 1930s. This was due in part to Kodak's large customer base and brand loyalty which it had established in the decades prior to the 1930's. Kodak also remained innovative during this period and introduced its famous colour reversal film Kodachrome in 1935.

Another shot from the Reliant brochure, The man with the world's oddest hair parting has driven from the Odeon in his blue Regal and met up with friends, they were made for each other, she has the flask he has the milk bottle. It is a miserable day and the family have a non-working concrete fountain for entertainment, and a red ball of course, they came for the stately home but is was shut
Retro Barbershop Brochure design template by Adrian Montesoro. Showcased on Inkd.com.

From a rather fine illustrated brochure on the Scunthorpe based division of United Steel, the Appleby Frodingham Company. The concern had its origins in the early years of the iron industry in Lincolnshire with the formation of the Frodingham Iron Company in 1864 followed by the Appleby in 1875. Steel production was begun in 1890. After a period of merger via the Steel Company of Scotland both companies became part of United Steel Companies in 1918 and gained their title of Appleby-Frodingham in 1934. The works, astonishingly, still survives as the Corus Works.

Martial Arts Brochure design template by Alexandre Braga. Showcased on Inkd.com.
A martial arts studio could use this brochure to explain specifics about the studio along with information about classes offered. There are many elements used throughout the brochure that make it an avant-garde design- the color palette, triangles, type treatment, paint splatters. The powerful use of triangular elements in both geometric shapes and the shape of the text boxes gives the brochure a feeling of movement, which successfully conveys the core objective of martial arts.
Hardware Store Brochure design template by Crispin Finn. Showcased on Inkd.com.
This brochure would be perfect for a local hardware shop providing friendly service to all customers. The graphic exterior uses the identifiable language of tools hanging from a pegboard to convey the subject of the brochure.
Here's the cover of a brochure that my father received a few months before our drving trip to Canada in 1964. My aunt's family (my dad's sister) lived in Chilliwack, BC at the time, just a year or two after they moved there from Uranium City, Saskatchewan.
Visible in the front cover is a 1959 Chevrolet station wagon in the lower right corner and a 1959 Pontiac coming around the bend in the road.
Inside of the multiple page publication are maps of each province through which the highway traverses and an illustrated description of its attractions and activities.
Cover of the brochure for the largest Ford models. This one is for Canadian market. I don't know if there were any differences from the US offering since I don't have that brochure to compare.
I realised I hadn't shot the new(ish now) Distagon f1.4 35mm ZM on the M8. That's really because the M8 is now limping along and rarely gets out. Cards playing up, even new ones so not the cards the internal reader/circuit, LEDs failed, battery lasts no time and flat dies from full so a challenge. Still, managed a few frames off. It's a great lens but I really can't get used to the size. I think my 90mm is shorter. Well off to check, with hoods the weight is the same as the 90mm f2.8 Elmarit-M and the height difference is negligible the 90mm being mms longer, still it's very sharp with a nice short focus throw and internal focussing.
a square-ish tri-fold brochure for a missions camp for middle schoolers. Just got this as a rush-job today and it has to be done by tomorrow morning (at least round 1). I'm exhausted... thoughts?
I have no choice on the "logo'... that was specifically requested.
Thanks for the feedback!
