The old KXLA/44 tower. That's its antenna on top, directional toward the population centers below. Below that is the two-bay directional antenna of KPWR/105.9. The four baskets below that are the cavity-backed radiators of what was at this time KLSX/97.1. Both KPWR and KLSX had recently relocated up on Mt. Wilson from Flint Peak in Glendale, where they continue to maintain auxiliary transmitters. KLSX is now KAMP, and both stations are now on other towers, though as I write this (in 2020) these antennas remain on this tower though long since out of use. In fact I can find no licenses for stations here now. Data on the tower, which was built in 1972:

Site Elevation: 1741.3 meters (5713 ft)

Height of Structure: 82.6 meters (271 feet)

Overall Height Above Ground: 99.1 meters (325 feet)

Overall Height Above Mean Sea Level: 1840.4 meters (6038 feet)
