pretty good show all round... shot kids in glass houses who were on top form and had almost the whole crowd singing the chorus of 'me me me'. new found glory were as awesome as ever too.
same again tonight....
Pete Murphy and 40 years of Bauhaus at the Brixton Academy. Who’d have thought 35 years ago that I would be at a Bauhaus gig with my son 👀
Possibly my favourite venue in the world. Seen so many amazing artists here!
This was taken just before Yungblud headlined here.

Recently a few of Norwoods G3s were refurbished for their renewed contracts with the 2/249, recieving LED displays and wooden style flooring, similar to new electrics. HV283 is seen at Brixton Academy on route 2 heading towards said garage.

I really wish I had my DSLR. The Canon Powershot 200 doesn't really do him justice.
Arriva London route 2: Norwood, Bus Garage - Marylebone Station

Arriva London retained their contract to route 2 from Norwood (N) on 1 April 2017. New B5LH-Gemini 3 buses, HV293-325, continue the standardised quality of buses on the 2 previously provided by its 04-reg VLAs, themselves impressive vehicles considering the much more updated fleet of buses on routes around them. A more in-depth review coming soon on London Connected.

Old photo from 2017. At this point, in 2023, we’re not sure the venue is even going to reopen after 2 people died in a crowd crush outside last year.

Lianne La Havas
I'm getting to make a serious dent in my venue bucket list this week as a live music photographer.
Aside from getting to cover the amazing Lianne La Havas, I got to officially cover my first show at the Brixton Academy. And what a sweet venue it is, in every way.
Next up, my first official show at the Hammersmith Apollo to round out a year of amazing live music photography experiences.
Read my review of the gig itself with more photos over at RockShot Magazine.
last one, i promise! :) haha...
i shot this one last night, going for the same thing as the photo a few back that i uploaded from friday - but on a wider lens and i caught the lights a bit better. can't decide which one i prefer really... any thoughts?
You gotta view big & on black to see it proper though!
and click here for the full set of photos from this tour! there are lots!
maximo park @ brixton academy last night. i LOVE shooting the 'park and the show was one of the best i've seen them.
brixton smells WELL rank without all the smoke though. really gross.
O.K. as this is now appearing in Explore and is getting quiet a few views here's an explanation of what's happening here - Super Furry Animals are a Welsh rock group who have made a bunch of records incorporating various different musical styles over the past 20 years or so. Here they are performing the song "The Man Don't Give A F***" which is usually the final song performed at their shows - the yeti costumes however originate from a video they made for a different song "Golden Retriever"...I could post links to the songs but depending where you are you might not be able to see them......in this shot Guto Pryce on bass, Huw Bunford on guitar with Cian Ciaran just visible on keyboards to the left of shot....
