Une jeune femelle Pic épeiche (Dendrocopos major), Neuchâtel, Suisse.
Sédentaire, Le Pic épeiche se rencontre partout où il y a des arbres, il est présent principalement dans les bois et les grandes forêts mais aussi dans les parcs, vergers et bosquets. Sa densité est relativement faible, car il est considérablement agressif vis à vis de ses semblables. Cet oiseau brille dans l’art de grimper. Les pics réalisent leurs escalades en enfonçant leurs ongles recourbés dans l écorce des arbres puis prenant appuis sur leur queue tout en effectuent de petits sauts.
Pour un vol jusqu’à plusieurs dizaines de mètres, il se pousse au tronc ou à la branche avec puissance et donne des battements d’ailes vigoureux sur environ 2 mètres (qui émet un son de battements d’ailes spécifique au pic) et ensuite il se déplace en vol plané jusqu’au prochain arbre ou autres.
Que brillen las luces con un color que simbolice la igualdad y el respeto para tod@s, no se si cambiará algo, pero igual es un comienzo para entendernos, mas y mejor y desde luego lo es, para que se escuchen ciertas voces y que continué esa lucha por la igualdad,que algun@s quieren parar.
Sobretodo porque esté año está siendo terrible, llevamos asesinatos y violaciones sin parar casi a diario, un horror...

Another photo from Thursday morning, same rock composition but landscape this time. The choice of aspect is all down the competing elements in the photo. In the first I was trying to emphasise the movement in the water and here of course it’s about the sun. I don’t run scared of a full on sun I just go with the flow, but you usually find the flare is really ugly, here I felt it complemented the photo. This photo would never see my printer as it’s too in your face for my taste, as I much prefer the first one.

Brill windmill dates to the 1680s and ground flour until 1919. It was one of several mills on the common, but the others have either been moved or demolished. Brill had several mills because the parish was quite wealthy, having made its money through potting, tiling and brick making.
Today is Monday again......a new working week begins and for the necessary work vitamins I thought I post this model by David Brill 'Nut and Bolt'.
It's a challenging model, which requires very precise folding and also for the assembly you have to be patient.
And as a bonus you can screw it together, see lower photo ;-))

I used one sheet of thick wrapping paper, 33x33cm, for the bolt, For the nut, half a sheet, 33x16,5cm.
Final size:
- bolt length 13cm
- nut lenght 3,5cm
Both have a diameter of 8cm

Cattedrale di San Lorenzo, Genova.
Il 9 febbraio 1941, seconda guerra mondiale, fu un giorno di dolore e di distruzione per Genova : i bombardamenti delle navi britanniche provocarono una vera catastrofe nella città. Il bombardamento quella mattina durò dalle 8.15 alle 9.45 e causò 144 civili uccisi, 300 feriti, 255 edifici distrutti e più di 2.000 sfollati.
Tra i 1.500 colpi lanciati contro il porto e la città l'unico colpo che non esplose fu quello che cadde dentro la Cattedrale, mentre era in corso la celebrazione della Messa.
Il proiettile di cannone lanciato dalla flotta inglese ruppe il muro lato mare della chiesa, volò sino al muro opposto, rimbalzo' a terra al centro del pavimento e rotolo' fino alla base del portone su Via San Lorenzo. La bomba non esplose e tutti i fedeli presenti rimasero illesi.
A memoria è esposta questa copia fedele all'originale, fatta brillare in mare.
I parrocchiani dell'epoca donarono alla Madonna della Pietà e del Soccorso un cuore votivo d'argento, per ricordare l'evento.
Nel 1944 ci fu un ulteriore bombardamento della Cappella alla Madonna , ma il cuore d'argento rimase. Ha resistito per 80 anni, ed è giunto sino a noi per ricordarci quegli anni bui
