Boats in Brighton on a warm Sunday afternoon. Don't you just love sails? They always make me feel like freedom.
This is a photograph I captured at Brighton Beach, Victoria, Australia. The composition highlights the vast expanse of the sea and sky, with sweeping clouds and calm waters stretching endlessly. The two small figures on the shore emphasize the scale and majesty of nature, offering a quiet reminder of how small we are in the grandeur of the world around us.
I'm trying to get out of an artistic rut ..... this is my 11th artwork in a row without a mannequin!! :-)
Yesterday was such a beautiful day and the early evening sunset was wonderful too, with a silky flat sea and wonderful reflections. It's the shortest day today with the winter equinox and a 3 degree start to the day! Have a great one everyone!
Serene beach walk under a dramatic cloudy sky, accompanied by a playful dog, capturing a moment of tranquility by the water's edge.

But in the meantime this really isn't so bad.
I don't often get out for sunrise, but last weekend decided to treat myself.
Magnificent as the plate ice on Lake Superior has been, to my delight, bright sunshine and warmer temps this past week have melted much of it. We've still got a little ways to go though!
Put on a sweater, watch your step and soak this up in Lightbox :)
Brighton Beach huts are not only bright and interesting but have become quite the tourist attraction with people promenading until the sun set. Last night on a cool summer's night was no exception and the heavy clouds were fortunately not reflected over the bay.
A small group of FFF+ spent some time waiting for the sunset and were rewarded ( thanks to the order by Red Stilletto) with some nice colours before dark.
To those who couldn't make it to the beach have a very happy Christmas and see you in 2020!!
Now that restrictions have been eased a bit I went for a walk beside Port Phillip Bay at sunset yesterday. Needless to say a large number of other people were doing the same or watching the sun set from the cliffside park on a stunning evening.
