“Everyone is a genius at least once a year. The real geniuses simply have their bright ideas closer together.”

Some Bright Ideas only ever stay in the Imagination .............

Ok so its another shot of me with the shock expression but i can't be bothered to leave the house!

Had the idea on my cards for a while so made for an easy one, as finding the harder part of a 365 the ideas not the execution.

Strobist... sb28@1/2 in the bag and an sb28@1/8 through softbox right at bag for a little fill.

Only managed five or six shots before i was flash blind. Mystical smoke and fairy dust added in p.s.

For Mission 24: Lightbulbs don't sink. I put my underwater camera in the bottom of a bucket of water to see if lightbulbs would sink.

Well one of the birthday presents I got was these scrabble lights. It's a strip of ten blank lights with letters on reusable stickers and as soon as I opened the present I had this idea. I've wanted to do it for ages but only have been able to do it now because of these. It also keeps my scrabble theme going and a bit different. A nice quick idea like this is also perfect for me at this time of year. One more exam tomorrow before half term then 6 when i go back to school. I did a bit of messing around with temperature do this has been blued up quite a bit to suit the photo a bit more. But anyway I'll try to catch up with all you guys soon!

Descending was always going to be a totally different experience. With most fatalities in mountaineering happening on the way down it's really something I had to force myself to focus on.

We had reached our summit and while the elation lingers on, there is also the desire to get back to camp as soon as possible. We were tired and the day was getting on and we were retracing our steps. It was ground we had covered before.

Finding that right balance between moving efficiently and safely was what I was after. So, with all that practice self arresting, as soon as the terrain levelled out enough we slid down the slope with only our axes as brakes. Definitely quicker, but taxing on the upper body.

We picked the packs up again and headed home. Sitting on top of Sladen Saddle looking down Rod briefly had the thought of self arresting down there as well. But the remembrance that there were a few crevasses on the way down soon quashed that idea.

At this point in time the sun was going down. I wasn’t that worried about the light. The sky was clear and it was due to be a full moon which means as soon as the sun goes down, the moon comes up. And a full moon is very efficient at lighting the snow.

Now in my mind was that our water was almost out. Kind of ironic being surrounded in snow!

Some people are asking about how I achieved the glow. Her is the info:

Used a snoot with a strobe pointing directely to the glass portion of the bulb. another Strobe at a 45 angle from top and finally one more behind at lower power to iluminate background. Make sense?

A picture that I designed for use as a vector image and an animated video.

One day I was walking through the store and I saw a package of these light bulbs, on the front it said "SAVE$70 ON YOUR ELECTRIC BILL." Hmmm? I thought about it for a while and then I bought ten packages and rushed home. With great excitement I showed the light bulbs to my wife and explained to her how I had just saved us $700 and with this new found wealth I was heading down to the camera store to by myself a new lens. I could see by the look on her face that she did not like my Bright Idea.

I covered a face mask with el wire and a few led lights, and these are the test shots I liked. It didn't exactly turn out like I imagined, but that's ok.

YAY! Today is the final day of my daily pleasure 365 picture project.

I can't believe how much this project has changed me... I had always liked taking photographs, but now it's such a huge part of my life. I notice so much more around me now, so many beautiful details that I am so grateful for seeing and capturing for others to see. I can't imagine my life without my camera at my side - I'm known now as the girl with the camera who walks around taking pictures all the time... and that's ok with me. :)

No worries... I am starting up year 2 because I think I would be lost without doing it :) Now I just have to figure out what to do with all these photographs. I've gotten so many good suggestions and ideas from friends and family so we'll see what comes of it!

Thanks everyone for taking the time to share this project with me, you're comments and feed-back is always such a pleasant sight.
