The same shop window as in the previous shot but taken looking in the opposite direction to capture different reflections of this delightful little town.

Horncastle is located at the confluence of the rivers Bain and Waring, in the county of Lincolnshire, approximately 135 miles north of London and 19 miles east of Lincoln.

The town has a population of around 4,900 and is within the East Lindsey District of Lincolnshire which covers an area of approximately 600 square miles.

Lying at the south-west foot of the Wolds at the edge of the Fens, it is a bustling and attractive market town, renowned for its antique shops, with a fine heritage and unspoilt by modern developments. There are some notable historic buildings, including the 12th-century Church of St.Mary and it is a good base from which to explore the surrounding countryside..

Happy Valentines whether you're celebrating your love or your single life ♥

A white waratah. The Telopea speciosissima. Also known as 'The Bridal Gown' or 'Shady Lady' white waratah. It is a protea. The more common variety is red. This one is rarely seen.

I discovered this white waratah hiding in amongst a grove of rhododendrons in the very shaded lower garden of 'Nooroo' - an historic house (1880) and its extensive garden, open to the public today, Sunday 11th October, 2020.

Nooroo is located at 11-15 Church Lane, Mount Wilson, in the Blue Mountains. See:

The theme for "Smile on Saturday" on the 16th of March is "blurred & beautiful". The night before the theme was announced, I was with some photographer friends who were discussing the pros and cons of keeping all photographs, even the ones that don’t turn out. I am one of those people that do keep them, because even if they did not work out as I might have wished, they may still prove beautiful – even if not planned – and may come in handy, as this shot has for this week’s theme. About a month ago, I took a trip to the Victorian country town of Castlemaine to see a fantastic private collection of beautiful wedding frocks dating from the 1830s through to the 1980s. This is a close up shot I took of the beautiful gold lace used to decorate a wedding frock from the 1930s. Being vintage and fragile, the fabrics were kept in lower light to protect them, which also made capturing some of these finer details more difficult, where only a small amount of movement by me as the photographer can result in a blurred shot. However, as the theme implies, this is actually a rather beautiful shot for its blurriness. It implies a sense of movement that this dress would once have had when the blushing bride walked down the aisle in it in 1936. I hope you like my choice for this week’s theme, and that it makes you smile!

This lovely mermaid fitted evening wear creation by darius cordell designs is a halter cut neck line with a modest open back. It looks fabulous here in red but can of course be made in any color. There is a red solid to fade beading pattern starting at the neck line and fading down the upper bodice of the gown.

The cut of the garment is very flattering to those that are not extrmely busty. But even if you are there are ways to cut the design (possibly with a not as wide open back) to make sure you will have the support you need.

If done in a different color or fabric this formal wear garment could be worn as a pagent gown or a second time bridal dress. If you wanted to add more pop to the beads we coudl apply scattered rhinestones or crystals through out the neck line as well.

Saw this bridal gown display in one of the downtown windows & thought it amusing that there was the reflection of the "do not enter & the one way only signs" showing, I had to get a shot! So for those

brides to be ... beware! LoL! =))) (Best on black)

As a professional graphic designer by day, I created the programs and whipped up a wedding Sudoku puzzle for the guys at the back of the booklet. Yay, no yawning! They were hand assembled by me and some wonderful friends. I did a ribbon whole punch and a single dot hole punch to prep for the "icing" on the cover. A flower on the front was tacked on and a bow tied above it to maintain the formality of having a ribbon but remove the stigma that it has to be used to bind it.!

(A composite)

Alright. Seriously, this was a bride-to-be who was having wedding photos in a fantastic natural setting. The key was to watch her step.

No one was harmed taking photos today. But she and her party amazingly stayed on that rock until well after dark.
