Taken near St. Andrews, Douglas County, Washington, U.S.A. by David.
I had tried to photograph nearly a dozen different Brewer's Sparrows with very limited success on our Washington trip. They had all been shy, skulky, and uncooperative. This bird was quite the opposite...

On May 17th I headed to Fish Creek Park and enjoyed a lovely walk. I was pleasantly surprised to find another friend who had started walking much earlier than I did. We were able to have a visit along the pathway while keeping a safe distance.
Thanks for your visits and comments! They are all greatly appreciated!
The Red-Footed Falcon currently on show at Isle Brewers in Somerset is a real star. So with a hint of blue sky this evening, I was off down the road to take another look. Such a beautiful bird and star performer.

Stumbled upon in London today whilst shopping... In the Heals store an exquisite spiral staircase was built at the back of the building, taking customers up to the new Mansard Gallery on the fourth floor. Known as The Brewer Staircase, this beautiful structure is still a big draw for visitors, and the subject of blog-posts from architecture enthusiasts who rave about its graceful sweep and honey-coloured wood.
