The Bren Carrier (correctly the Universal Carrier) was a British tracked vehicle which could hold a Bren or Vickers Machine Gun and had a crew of an NCO and a private soldier. They could carry fourteen infantrymen, be fitted with a two inch mortar or a howitzer and were used in the battlefields of Europe, North Africa and the Far East. (BREN stood for British Enfield)
