On August 30, 2020 Gays Against Guns (GAG), the direct action, gun violence prevention group formed by members of LGBTQ communities and allies, held a day of action protest in New York City’s Union Square to call attention to the violent, bloody cycle of death that Americans are witnessing on a constant repeat setting: The Cycle of Death that has emerged at the nexus of white supremacist policing, the Black Lives Matter movement, the Alt-Right, white supremacist militia movement, and American gun culture. For me, this was the first year I decided to participate in the 100 mile challenge. I have had a love of nature and hiking that I thought this would be a great way to motivate myself to workout more. I have had some major injuries in my lifetime, and with that a lot of depression and anxiety. This challenge was a way for me to break that cycle and take time for myself an reflect and focus on myself for a change. the NCT has always had a special place in my heart.

Day 26/365 and for January 2009 Monthly Scavenger Hunt #14. Epiphany.

I had an epiphany last night while trying to think of something to do for the epiphany category for MSH, as I was quickly running out of days left in the month. I was listening to my iPod (the one that isn't melted) and a Staind song came on and I remembered that there was a song called Epiphany on the Break The Cycle CD. It took me a little digging to find my copy, but I did.

This was the last shot I needed to complete January's hunt. Yay!!!
