A four-day old black-necked stilt chick explores the wonders of its surroundings. These cute chicks are walking and feeding on their own almost immediately, but under the watchful and protective eye of both parents.

Two very contrasting images - this one of a seal pup braving the battering winds of Storm Deirdre a while ago.
2 slightly different images from late on Friday night. I headed up to Seaham to try and catch a little colour over the wheels on Chemical Beach. The clouds rolled in and any colour which appeared was gone in about 10 minutes.
Not wanting to leave with just one or two pictures - I shot a 3 minute exposure whilst the tide was up to the tops of my thiighs.
Yes it was pretty cold.
It was a crazy day out there indeed the other week. There was spray, mist, storms and pounding waves all over the place. But somehow, the light managed to get through and highlight these rocks. Its always pretty incredible what the camera can pick up and find. This is a single exposure shot but I generated a HDR for the sky and blended back in.
Hope everyone has a great Easter!
Take care!

this is your year
to stand tall
allowing the growth of you
to be noticed
without the safety of numbers
steady in your poise
full in your maturing
brave in your becoming
as you become brave

Instead of taking snowy detail shots as I normally would do a day like this, I challenged myself and only photographed perspectives and type of shots I don't practise that often. In some snowy and windy condition this man was braving the weather with his rollator to help. 16/365.

We've been watching Brave New World on Netflix recently. It's always interesting to film locations on the TV that you have previously visited. A lot of the series was filmed in different locations in and around Canary Wharf, including the Cross Rail place roof gardens.
Justice League Teaser #1
Just a "quick" image i made in honor of that amazing shot of the Batman trailer & that awesome Jl one !
Made some updates to my BvS/DCEU Batman, made a new head (you can't see it too well here because of the editing but i'll upload a clear look at it eventually) and gave him a TLBM Belt, might be my definitive version of the Batfleck (better be... don't know how many more upgrades i can handle)
Might do the rest of the league on this style of teaser till the movie comes out idk...
Have a Bricktacular day and may the force be with you !

""Well …" The Savage hesitated. He would have liked to say something about solitude, about night, about the mesa lying pale under the moon, about the precipice, the plunge into shadowy darkness, about death. He would have liked to speak; but there were no words. Not even in Shakespeare."
I always try and make the most of my days off work whether it rain or shine, today was no different it absolutely lashed it down this morning but i made the effort and headed out, I came across this fine young stag which wasn't fazed by the foul weather one bit and even posed for me!
Still hot, still humid. Linus spent most of the day under a fir tree in the garden. He only left the shade for a short moment because I politely asked for a photo. Maybe the bag of treats in my hand played a little role too. :)

A number of hardy souls braving the -20º temperatures and wind gusts full of snow on the boardwalk between the Banff Gondola and Sanson's Peak. Sure, we all could have stayed inside at one of the new cafes in the gondola terminus, but with views like this -- complete with trees and mountains freshly coated in snow -- there was no way I was staying inside!
