Die Messingbürste kam bei mir in den 80er Jahren doch öfters zum Einsatz, wie sollte es auch anders sein, beim Reinigen der Zündkerze vom Mofa. Ist heute noch in meinem Werkzeugkasten.

The brass brush was often used by me in the 80s, how could it be otherwise, when cleaning the spark plug of the moped. Still in my toolbox today.

The Brass Monkey Hotel in Perth, Australia, is an iconic establishment built in 1896 as the "Great Western Hotel." Strategically located in Northbridge, near the train station, it was one of the most lavish hotels during the gold rush era. The three-story building, designed in "Federation Filigree" style, retains many of its original features. Renamed in 1988-89 after a significant renovation, it is now a multilevel pub with four bars, outdoor spaces, a lounge, and a restaurant. It hosts various events, from live sports broadcasts to music, and is a popular venue for functions and social gatherings. Its Patriots Sports Bar is particularly well-known for watching live sports.

The theme for Smile on Saturday is Handles. This is a Red Oak ice chest with brass handles. It was made into a coffee table.

the old photographer,;-)

The many variations of censors to do smoke shots by burning incense in one or two and even all to get the right cloud 😊

Colonel Walter was shocked

When he learned from the Nile

Copper African elephants turning hostile

So he built these wonderful automaton bloaks

And a very big steam powered giraffe what smokes

or just the end of it. I wasn't sure how old this is, but now I've photographed it I looked to see if there was a name, it is T. Cooke London and must date from the 1890s, so I guess it is vintage. There is also a serial number 007. Maybe I'd better dust and polish it.

lol

More comming up from this amazing group, many of us singed and danced along---

This is my little compass that is made of polished brass.

Our first visit to Brass Elk Brewing. It sits on the bank of the Elkhart River, with a great outdoor dining area....which is enclosed with heaters this time of year....it was snowing might I add. We chose to eat indoors.

you can grab for the brass ring, but there are no guarantees that you'll get it, or that you'll get a prize if you do.

One of James Cook’s sextants, dating to the mid–late 18th century, on display at the Australian National Maritime Museum (Darling Harbour, Sydney).

During his Pacific voyages (including the charting of Australia’s east coast), James Cook relied on brass sextants, some crafted by Jesse Ramsden, one of the most accomplished scientific instrument makers of the period.

This rose is still hanging on from the poor treatment it has had in the little garden across the street... It has been processed in the Topaz Studio using Impressions the Georgia O'Keeffe Style...

Top brass is often a synonym for people of higher status. But here we see the old 1914 Ford Model T in a beautiful galore of polished brass parts. Today we often forget that brass was the first choice of material that held corrosion off the metal of the days. Later came nickel and at last chrome alloys. One thing for sure is; this Ford T, Fire apparatus from the San Jose Fire station is very handsome with all the brass accomplished by the red color. Road Signature from Yatming Corp. Had made a fine 1:18 scale die-cast model car and seen here out in the open for realism.

This can be heard across the railyard.

The brass lion art installation (in Exhibition Park, Newcastle upon Tyne) is still here and well worth a visit - go when there are no children climbing all over them, encouraged by their feckless parents.
