Yesterday was the second of three Splotch Monster-themed art workshops at the Brambleton Library, as part of my summer artist residency. It also happened to be the inaugural Splotch Monster lettering workshop, as I’ve never actually done one before, and we had such a fun time! Brambleton was inspired by a very early Splotch Monster, made in 2009, and was born at the Brambleton Library Makerspace on Saturday, August 9, at 12:30pm. Yesterday he went on his first hike, and explored Runnymede Park, in Herndon, Virginia. He’s fond of trees, streams, sun dapples, spider webs, and is a very fun guy who appreciates fungi.
