15th March 2009. Heading back up to the ward.

In the window of the "British Heart Foundation" charity shop in Headington, near the hospital.

15th February 2009. In the Headington subway, near the hospital. The walk is still a bit slow and unsteady but that will come with practice.

23rd March 2009. Conked out mid-afternoon and yet to stir out of the slumber at the time of writing (17:10).

23rd March 2009. In the recovery room and feeling sore and blue after his fourth and hopefully final operation.

11th March 2009. Fin heads off the ward for a bit of fresh air.

15th February 2009. With the doctor's blessing, we borrowed a pushchair and wheeled Finley into nearby Headington - his first time out of the hospital grounds.

23rd March 2009. Perking up soon after returning to the ward. Just a short foretaste though of what will undoubtedly come soon enough. For now, headaches, nausea and an exhausted sleep have followed this pleasant interlude.

4th March 2009. Another chance (unfortunately) to put Finley up against those photogenic birds outside the ward.

1st June 2010 (scan picture from 19th May 2010).

Consultation today on the results of Fin's latest MRI two weeks ago. Not the very best news, but still pretty good! The hard part of the tumour has grown, but not too much. The cyst that first showed itself at the last scan 6 months ago hasn't changed much - so overall the growth looks nice and slow. The blob of white on the pictures certainly looks a lot less menacing than his first MRI in January 2009!

As long as he stays well, we can now settle down until the next scheduled scan in May 2011. A whole year without a trip to Oxford - now that would be nice!

3rd March 2009. Coming along nicely.

How did I get a good shot of Siobhan? I took her photo whilst she tries to me with a tennis ball (dangling on a string from the swings) with from her tennis racket lol

23rd March 2009. Time for a brief recap on all the joys of 2009.

29th January 2013.

Finley's 9th birthday today began with 4 hours of throwing up into a bowl (starting at 3am) and finally ended in exhaustion at 8pm. In-between he had a lot of fun!

Fin's measured response to the news from his consultation today. Regrowth of the tumour has unfortunately accelerated. He will be going back into the John Radcliffe on the 6th January and will have surgery to try and remove the tumour on the 7th. A bit of a nuisance, but at least we'll have chance to pack a bag this time!
