I have no idea what the real name of this succulent plant is, but it reminds my wife and me of a bunch of brains. There are stalks growing up from the plant that have lots of flowers, which you will see in the next image in my photo stream.
Lighting: Lit with a hand held Yongnuo flash in an 8.6 inch Lastolite soft box at camera left. The flash was triggered by a Yongnuo RF-603N.
Other pictures that I've taken of succulents are in my Cactus and Succulents album.
Heat and stress can lead to problems for seizure sufferers.
Brain fog, tremors, dizziness and a lack of focus sent me to bed today.

I feel so lucky to get to know this guy, not just to take photo's but to watch him grow and be able to watch his mannerisms and personality develop.
To me he is smart. I watch him play with things his keeper gives him and he is incredibly dexterous as his uses his paws a lot and he has great paw, eye co ordination but not just that, I can actually see him thinking about things which to me is a privilege to watch.
Very honored to be the cover of the group.

This pool was Extremely deep! Midnight did a swimming leap out of it. He figured out what to do when Ben helped him out. If your dog is confident to begin with and knows you always have his back, he can achieve AMAZING things!....just like kids : ))

This flower and been knocked and was broken from the stem. Decided to use it as a prop rather than throw it away. Paired with the chess board we have the brains and beauty.
No. 10 The Brains
My travels through Pakistan were such an eye opener to me. Even though I had spent a couple of months in India, this country was something completely different. Our journey took us from the hustle and bustle of Quetta to quiet Islamabad and from there in a classic green Jeep to silk road city Peshawar and on north to Chitral and the valleys of the Kalash right in between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Every turn on every mile is an adventure in this amazing country. We crossed dilapidated bridges so small and fragile, we did not dare to stay in the Jeep, but rather walked across. We passed ruins of ancient fortresses on the banks of the Indus river, that made me think of the campaigns by Alexander the Great in 326 bc.
I remember the orange sky over the city as we drove into Peshawar. Sunlight was trying to peer through the dense smoke, produced by small brick furnaces outside the city, well known for its location on the historic silk road and its beautiful lapis lazuli gems. I felt like something between time traveller and Indiana Jones. Overhanging the streets of the inner city a meandering web of power lines connected buildings of bygone eras. Not many tourists dared to venture in this city ruled by local warlords and ripped by tribal strife. Even now, in 2021, the Pakistan ministry of defence classifies Peshawar as the second most dangerous city in the world. Right after Barquisimeto in Venezuela.
Local merchants looked amazed as a westerner, wearing a turban, took photos of the wares they offered on wooden planks. Pink goats brains and yellow mangoes.
Although Emily and Sebastian had become brain-hungry zombies, that didn’t mean they couldn’t still have a proper and civilized dinner before going out for dessert.
These two young geniuses have what it takes to make it in STEM. (The long white lab coats and doctor poses are just icing on the cake.) Here at the Lab they are the brains behind the Mad Science department.
