I've seen people at my age starting to lose it mentally and I'm determined not to follow suit. So in additional to MDPD, one of my projects for this year is to get really good at Sudoku. I do OK but want to take it to the next level so I've signed up for a series of instructional videos. This guy is a real dork and talks way too much, but he presents in plain English and in the early lessons he seems to know his stuff. We'll see how this progresses.

The mind is like a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets!
Our brain can be trained and strengthened through regular exercise, just like our muscles. When we learn new things, challenge ourselves intellectually, and think critically, we are creating new neural connections in our brain. These new connections make our brain more efficient and effective at processing information and solving problems.
Many scientific researches have stated, that the brain is plastic, meaning that it can change and adapt throughout our lives.
The good news is that it never too late to start training your brain.
Here are some ways to challenge your mind and keep your brain sharp:
- Learn a new language.
- Play a musical instrument.
- Read books and articles that challenge you intellectually.
- Do puzzles and brain teasers.
- Take a class or workshop on a new topic.
- Engage in critical thinking and problem solving activities.
- Meditate or practice mindfulness.
If you want to improve your cognitive function and boost your brain power, challenge your mind regularly and exercise it in new and different ways!
