I've been tracking these brackets since they were small and brown. Now they are a rich deep red -- almost like an old slice of beetroot!
Bracket is use for fixing plasterboard partition wall profiles to the wall.

The brown rings on the top of a blushing bracket fungus, one of several growing from a tree trunk at RSPB Fen Drayton Lakes.
.......of some sort, thought maybe a Jelly rot fungus, but not 100% sure.
Found this on an old fallen beech on Tuesday up at Castle Coch.
Only about an inch wide, quite small, but there was a lot of it.
This wall-mounted converted gas bracket, a Mackenzie & Moncur type no.161, is seen in Randolph Lane supporting a Thorn Gamma 6 lantern. A number of these brackets exist today at various locations throughout Edinburgh, with some of them having replica gas lanterns fitted.
Found a cell popping up in east chandler, and desperately found a spot as there was some eye blinding flashes. Still managed to get a few.
Decided to make a quick bracket to hold two flashes on one light stand. This way I can run two flashes on 1 stand, through 1 umbrella. This will also allow me to shoot two flashes at 1/2 power instead of 1 flash at full power and use less battery power AS WELL AS faster recycle time.
I should paint it black, but let's face it, it's a $1.79 bracket from the hardware store, the paint would cost more, haha.
This will have to due until I can afford Ab800's.
These weight brackets slide up and down the boom and lock into place with simple wingnuts.

Went to the hardware store and spotted all these different shaped building brackets made from light galvanised steel.
A couple of 1/4 inch 25mm bolts and some thinner ones (cant remember the size)
The clamp is there just to hold the umbrella :)

Now I dismantled the operating keys. First, the spring-loaded bracket that locks them in the operated position was removed by unbolting one of its pivots from the chassis
The area in the circle is where the pedal bracket needs to be trimmed if using the stock footbox sheet metal - approximately like the line shows. You can grind it at an angle until the sheet metal clears. Most of the metal will come from the black pedal bracket - the blue bracket may also need to get trimmed a little.

Found these growing on dead wood in the Curraghs. I know they are Bracket fungi but that's all I know! I think there are 2 species here but I'm not certain.
