The 10th July 2015 from the west cliff of Bournemouth, luckily this week I was not directly under the rain, lightning and floods. not many strikes but I captured 4 of them.
I previously posted a shot of Bournemouth Pier at sunset around Christmas time. That shot was taken down on the beach and I'd forgotten I had this one taken from a different location.
It wasn't the most spectacular sunset, what with clear sky there wasn't much colour produced, but there were some nice blues and a hint of orange on the horizon as the sun went down.
I opted for a long exposure here to flatten out the sea to give it a smoother artistic look.

Yesterday morning I headed to Boscombe Beach in Dorset for sunrise, meeting up with Scott Lovegrove Photography and Tom Ormerod Photography.
Despite the weather report the previous night saying it was going to be partly cloudy, we arrived to a lot more cloud than expected. Still, we wasn't put off and headed down to the beach.
On the way I stopped off at the pier and got a a blue hour shot while the lights were still on.
I love the symmetry of this shot, there is a small crazy golf course situated on the left hand side but I've removed that in photoshop to keep the symmetrical aspect of the shot.
One of Bournemouth Pier taken at sunset last Friday. It was fairly busy on the beach but I managed to get one break with no people in the way of the pier.
The sunset wasn't the best, but at least there was a little bit of colour in the sky.

Yesterday morning I got up and ventured down to Bournemouth Beach to get a few shots of the pier with the drone.
It was a gorgeous morning, albeit a little bit windy and chilly but I got a few shots I liked then I spent a short while watching all the people surfing and paddleboarding before heading home for breakfast.
