Stone skimming as the sun sets, she had just done a double bouncer and the joy was heard to those that watched and remembered doing the same as a kid, even now I skim a good looking stone, never let the kid grow out of you......!!!

As I have mentioned in a previous post, Nashville is the country capital of the world. It makes total sense then, for everything at the downtown area to be country or cowboy related. And while something like this may be a common sight for many locals, for me it was eye catching as i live in a part of US where there are no cowboys or huge country population. The guy in the photo was a bouncer working for that bar and his outfit and style along with the neon sign above him conveyed me to click and capture this moment.

Being a club bouncer isn't an easy job. Always getting harassed, even attacked physically from time to time. You have to be the tough guy mostly, but the payback comes at the end of the night. The house lights come up and your hear the DJ spin Elvis Costello's "Radio Sweetheart". Then you have the privilege of watching all the last call stragglers stumble out the door and on their way. Occassionally one will literally try to crawl out. You have to help them back onto their feet and take their keys, so the bartender doesn't get in trouble. So many great songs run through your mind as you watch them stagger out - Joe Jackson's "Is She Really Going Out with Him?" or Semisonic's "Closing Time" for example. Tonight I am just a little tired of the freak show. I am singing in my mind . . . 🎵 Fuck All The Perfect People 🎶

To be or not to be

To free or not to free

To crawl or not to crawl

Fuck all those perfect people!

To sleep or not to sleep

To creep or not to creep

And some can't remember, what others recall

Fuck all those perfect people!

Sleepy eyes, waltzing through

No I'm not talking about you!

To stand or not to stand

To plan or not to plan

To store or not to store

Fuck all those perfect people!

To drink or not to drink

To think or not to think

Some choose to dismember, you're rising your thoughts

And fuck all those perfect people!

Sleepy eyes, waltzing through

No I, I'm talking about you!

To sing or not to sing

To swing or not to swing

(Hell) He fills up the silence like a choke on the wall

Fuck all those perfect people!

To pray or not to pray

To sway or not to sway

Jesus died for something - or nothing at all.

Fuck all those perfect people!

Sleepy eyes, waltzing through

No I, I'm talking about you!

Pic taken in a commercial shopping area. It had the security fence. I forgot to write down which one. Sorry.

My little friend is trying to look tough as the Chipmunks were wanting to get to the Snack Shack. By having this "bouncer" at the entrance well, let's just say the chipmunks did not have the right ID.

I want to thank you for taking the time to visit my little space here on Flickr.

A territorial Willet guards the access to its home turf on Galveston Island.

Despite the great big smile I would have no wish to thread on his toes!

This one makes me smile.

Female elk "guarding" her field, enforcing the National Park Service regulations intended to keep them, and too curious visitors and photographers, separated at a safe distance. Taken from our car as she stood roadside.

Recently I discovered this scene where the two trees look like bouncers which block off all attempts to enter the old house.

The 1st day of pak vs SA series 2nd test match held at Qaddafi stadium, Lahore.

So . . . is this their bouncer??!! LOL!
