After some insecurities,

first stumbling steps,

bottomless excitement,

daring fickleness

and a climb up the hill.

After a time of years it is,

that one reaches,

certain heights,

receives certain views

of life

and of things within

oneself.

Now,

therefore you have gained more experience,

have developed yourself,

your path will bring you down again.

Back again.

Seasoned

and with all sereneness,

you can enjoy this stage of life.

Each step,

taken regardfully,

whilst rolling down the hill,

finding your joy

in observing the view

and in just being there.

For yourself

and for others.

Issue#15 "Wounded"

I grimace clutching my wounds the water demon cut me bad with its spiked armour but I gouged out its beady eye and swam out if it's murky bottomless pit. I stumble through the night streets as the blood oozes through my suit, my vision blurs and I groan falling to the ground crawling towards the bustling market opposite trying desperately to fathom the words to cry out but I'm too weak. I notice a large heavyset man approach me, his large meaty arms scoop me up and I hear a slight chortle as he breathes. "H...Help...me..." I mutter as the man squeals seemingly with delight, then everything goes black.

I begin to regain consciousness and peel open my eyelids, it takes me a movement to realise I'm upside down and stripped from the waist up. I also seem to be swinging side to side slightly. I groan in pain feeling my wounds ache and the familiar rattling of a Jain coiled around my leg suspending me. I look around the room seeing tons of tools littered on the tables below me, they all look very menacing. I see a familiar heavy set figure waddle up to me snorting, he seems to be wearing a bloodied pigs head. I stare alarmingly at him and swing my clenched fists at him but I'm too far out his reach."Dr. Hog will make Mother complete, Mother needs muscular arms!" he squeals lifting up a cleaver from the table wiping the crusted blood off on his apron. I grimace trying to move but the pain seeps Into my skin like fire from my wounds, I close my eyes tight expecting the worst but instead I hear a grunt and a thud. I open my eyes slightly and see a hooded female figure stand over the incapacitated Dr. Hog.

I can't seen her very well because of her mask but I can tell she's wondering how to get me back down on the ground without breaking the chain and having me fall and snapping my neck. I notice Dr. Hog getting to his feet and I muster the words weekly "Behind...you" The woman quickly turns around seeing Dr. Hog lunge at her but she swiftly rolls to the side letting him sprawl out onto the floor squealing. He clambers to his feet swinging at her with a wild right hook but she lifts up her staff smacking his fist downwards and brings up the other end of her staff connecting it with the bridge of the mans nose breaking it. He cries out in pain as she sucker punches him to the floor knocking him out. "Who...are you?" I mumble softly watching the woman "I'm Spoiler. Now hurry up us heroes are leaving Gotham, Amanda Wallers orders." She replies. "Huh what? Wait...how did you find me?" I murmur as she loosens my chain letting me drop slowly to the ground, she grabs me helping me up to my feet "I've been tracking this sicko's activities for some time. He's trying to do some Frankenstein thing to recreate his Mum." She spits holding my arm over her shoulder, I frown "Why are...the heroes leaving Gotham? I say breathing heavily through the effort of speaking. "Amanda is saying this City is on the brink of war and we need to evacuate or she's going to release 'The Big Gun' before it escalates any further."

Day 73 of my #365project

Cisfinitum - Bottomless

Not so much the exposure, but the fact I couldn't see what was down below gave me the chills.

St Michael’s Cave was long believed to be bottomless. This probably gave birth to the story that the Rock of Gibraltar was linked to Africa by a subterranean passage under the Strait of Gibraltar. The famous macaques were said to have come to Gibraltar through this subterranean passage. Pomponious Mela, one of the earliest geographers who lived about the beginning of the Christian era, spoke about the cave in his writings.

It was at one time believed that in 1704 Spanish troops spent a night in the cave after climbing the precipitous east face of the Rock. Another story about the cave recounts how a Colonel Mitchell and another officer were said to have descended into the cave at some unspecified date before 1840 and were never seen again. During WWII the cave was prepared as an emergency hospital, but was never used as such. The cave is open to visitors and makes a unique auditorium for concerts, ballet and drama.

It has been in use as a theatre since the early sixties with capacity for 600 persons. At some period during the history of this cave, part of a stalagmite became too heavy on one side and fell, possibly thousands of years ago. It now lies on its side at the far end of the main chamber, cemented through the years by nature to the floor of the cave. In 1972 a slice was cut off from the top end which revealed the interior structure of the stalagmite in a most dramatic fashion.

:)

my dear guys and girls,... after a long break ("computer-free vacation" ;)) I'm back - as you can see I'm finally able to play the game again without feeling sick!

I will upload more new images and continue to work on my mods next week (busy with real life in the next few days). Can't wait to see and hear what you did in the last few weeks while I was gone! I have really missed all of you! :D

For the Get Pushed group, R9 Challenge, I was paired with Micah. He challenged me to take a bottomless picture. So I chose the sky. The sky has no beginning and no end. Its expanse is limitless.

Day Two:

Still no running. I don't care what's coming after me. If I can't powerwalk to safety then I've made peace with the idea that I shall be strolling into savagery.

At least that's what I thought I would be happy with until the nibbling started. Yes it tickled at first and yes I may have let out a little giggle but oh no no no that did not last and then the kicking started. The rampaging flurry of feet into the face of a monstrous being so hideous you would defile your own undergarments at the mere thought of it. I know I did. Not...did not. There was no defilement of any kind that made the beastie gag as it choked on my pants.

Still didn't stop it. The pointy toothed basta...um....swine. But for fu....ahem...goodness sake did it have to eat the...the you know...and then the other one after that. I hope it give him the runs so terrible his arse will be a flaming torrent of which hot lava and prickly bits so sharp it's like he swallowed a petrified porcupine.

Though he did stop at the heart. Should have seen his face trying to chew it. Not sure if it was the bitterness or it was just too stony and hard. Sure a tooth fell out on that last big bite.

So here I am. Stuck here. In the dark. In the cold.

But knowing now what I now know and had I knowingly known what I know now now know. Buggered if I'd have been running even then.

A pre-halloween special.

bottomless lakes state park, roswell, new mexico.

VERY deep is the well of the past. Should we not call it bottomless?

Bottomless indeed, if - and perhaps only if - the past we mean is the past merely of the life of mankind, that riddling essence of which our own normally unsatisfied and quite abnormally wretched existences form a part; whose mystery, of course, includes our own and is the alpha and omega of all our questions, lending burning immediacy to all we say, and significance to all our striving. For the deeper we sound, the further down into the lower world of the past we probe and press, the more do we find that the earliest foundations of humanity, its history and culture, reveal themselves unfathomable. No matter to what hazardous lengths we let out our line they still withdraw again, and further, into the depths. Again and further are the right words, for the unresearchable plays a kind of mocking game with our researching ardours; it offers apparent holds and goals, behind which, when we have gained them, new reaches of the past still open out - as happens to the coastwise voyager, who finds no end to his journey, for behind eachheadland of clayey dune he conquers, fresh headlands and new distances lure him on.
