Prior to European occupation (read invasion), this and every part of the land we now call Australia was occupied by what we now call Aboriginal people (See profile for an overview of this history).
As global warming and the insidious senseless ramparts of the capitalist modernist project begins to crumble because it has reached the limitations of a global capacity to enable me to gain at your expense, to eat while you starve, to buy a second ‘investment’ home whilst you live on the streets, to pay a doctor to inject botox into my face whilst you die of malnutrition- and the rising tide (the unfettered market) that was supposed to raise all ships (your standard of living as well as mine) begins to buckle and gasp for air, I wonder what the Indigenous people think of what we have done their land, to their lifestyle, to their future and the environment they cared for and preserved for 40,000+ years before ‘civilised’ people came along and ‘settled’ in this country.
INDIGENOUS HISTORY
Springbrook National Park's earliest human inhabitants were an Aboriginal kinship group, the Yugambeh who lived in this area, carefully managing and using its rich natural resources. Known as kaban (bush or rainforest) to the Yugambeh, the mountains are sacred and spiritual, places to be nurtured and respected.
Of course the experiences of Indigenous – European interactions were not homogenous nor were the attitudes each Indigenous group took towards European ‘settlers’ and visa versa. The overall story was not good for Indigenous people, but simplistic accounts of adversarial conflict and a will to wipe out the Indigenous community are simply false. Ei bine, da! Chiar poti sa scapi de riduri prin miscarile fine ale unui specialist in drenajul limfatic. Pana acum am incercat tot felul de masaje faciale despre care mi se spunea ca ajuta limfa si ca imi relaxeaza muschii. Nu zic nu, insa drenajul limfatic este cu totul altceva. Basically, the botulinum toxins block the signals that would normally tell your muscles to contract. Say, for example, it attacks the muscles in your chest -- this could have a profound impact on your breathing. When people die from botulism, this is often the cause -- the respiratory muscles are paralyzed so it’s impossible to breathe.

me and my mummy made a long tutu skirt for me today. I've been looking to buy one for ageees and could never find the right type so decided to make it myself. But, I suck at making most things so my mum took it and made it for me. Yay! It's much better quality than anything I could have done. :) My mum is generally very good at making things so she's always the first person I go to when I need help.
