Fűvészkert is the oldest botanical garden in Hungary. Eötvös Loránd University's Faculty of Medicine established the garden in 1771.
Füvészkert, still managed by the university, has over 200 endangered plants, including 150-year-old ginkgo trees, a palm house with tropical and subtropical plants and a Japanese garden, which hosts a cherry blossom festival every April.
One of many gorgeous flower displays at from the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden. This one was right at the entrance! What a greeting!
I went to the Sakura Matsuri festival at Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. It's their cherry blossom festival that they have every year. Unfortunately due to our recent cold weather, there was not much to see as far as the trees go. But I was however able to grab some nice photo's of flowers instead :-)
