Little known fact: Jabba the Hutt was unhappy with the condition of his prized possession – Han Solo in carbonite – and ordered bounty hunters Boba Fett, Bossk and IG-88 to make some repairs. You could call it a galactic recall, if you will.

This was photographed exclusively for my "Small Scenes from a Big Galaxy" book. I will post more of these here shortly.

Godspeed, Chuck Berry

Here's a bounty hunters Bossk and Boba Fett caught on the film with the cinema camera. Is this a frame from a new series featuring this dynamic duo or is it just a simple frame found on the floor...

It would actually be awesome to have a some kind of continuity for this frame, who knows what happens. Maybe a some other cinematographer will find the rest of the film and will show you the rest?

As I was writing the description for this shot, I've got thinking the continuity for this particular frame. I have a few frames almost ready to go, but in a meantime, if you dare to have a little imagination and open a box of your Lego's, I'll command you to make the next frame. I would love to see you trying this out. I know, we have a serious problem here, if you don't have these exact figs, but did I mentioned the word 'imagination'? Yes. Yes I did! Just post a link to your own creation here, using the 'Add a comment' -box below.

Don't take my offer as a challenge. Take it as a being a kid again with a camera. And yes, we all can skip this part without questions asked later. I'd just wanna try to explore some new things here. That is all.

Who is the man in the shadows, approaching Bossk and Boba? Is he come to a negotiate a deal of lifetime with the bounty hunters?

This is a continuity to a Bossk + Boba frame I did a few weeks ago. I'm seeing this as a cinematic frame from a movie we've never saw, hopefully I can bring the rest of the frames for you to check up, soon! Also, I would like to let you know, that' I'm more than aware of that cliche title here. It just fits in this frame perfectly! :)

updated alien, wip preditor, wip bossk, wip ellen ripley, wip c-3po, teasers in the background! more to come soon!

This is an artistic version of a portrait of Han Solo. This particular frame came as a bonus from the session with Han, Bossk and Boba Fett. In case you're wondering, this is pretty much all in-camera. All I did is that I tweaked the coloring from the raw-file as it usually done, when you're dealing with material straight from the camera sensor. The 'effect' you'll see here were real.

What I personally like in this frame is, it's peaceful moment, although Han is carrying his DL-44 heave blaster pistol. Also, I dig the mix of photography and a painting-like-feel. I have always thought, I need a brush and canvas to achieve this kind of piece, I've never thought I've could make it happen with my camera.

Finding a droid from the middle of nowhere was something that really opened my eyes to look around for more. In fact, just a twenty minutes later, I've dscovered Bossk in there as well.

Later, I was going through my photographs on the computer, the droid I photographed earlier, U-3PO, was probaply buying oil from the kiosk. I thought all they did was selling ice-cream...

The droid was busy tonight mixing all those drinks on the Cantina. Bossk was standing near the counter, waiting for his drink, beer and a shot, perhaps. Greedo ordered Kamikaze a ten minutes ago. A drink from the 70’s, which can be tossed back quickly if you happen upon an opportunity, like Rey wandering alone through a dark bar...!

This is what I call a key scene I was after, when I had a session with my Lego Cantina set. You might remember seen Greedo in that same very place on a scene titled as The Place You Are Right Now. Well, this is what I was after in the first place, a wider scene of the Cantina featuring different characters you might not pop-up everyday. An original scene is wider than this, there's a couple of fella's left out from the sides, but that's no biggie, they're not relevant to the story.

I built this MOC for a contest on www.imperiumdersteine.de and I had to build a scene with myself. (www.imperiumdersteine.de/index.php?/topic/42049-ids-mocol...)

So I replaced Bossk by a Han Solo version of me.;)

Bossk sneaked next into Boba Fett's Slave 1, where he keeps his little collection of a droids. ”They come to say hello and they'd just start to follow you” - he told one of the scumbags over the bar table at the Cantina a few years ago. But, later did he realized, that he could use these silly droids as an humble investigators, next to his bounty hunting business. No one could suspect a humble droid! No wonder business looks good in Boba Fett’s corner.

Well, back to Bossk. He is trying to steal one of them and use the same strategy as Boba Fett does. I’d just have to wonder, whether this same thing will work the way it does with the Boba, Bossk is after all a reptile and droids who happen to like Boba Fett’s helmet for some unknown reason, are hard to turn on for something they’re really not.

First, this reminded me a bit of graveyard of droids, but I’m such a huge fan of these, that I’ve simply couldn’t attach a story like that into this scene. This was one of the alluring set-up working for a long time. I like that! Could this be my first photo featuring Slave 1?

Of course, Millennium Falcon it is, not a hamburger as I just described in the title, although it's been commonly used in the 70', as Millennium Falcon is inspired by hamburger.

Could this be it what they've all been looking for? Check out IG-88, Boba Fett, Darth Vader, another Darth Vader, Tippett, Bossk and U-3PO. They've all seem to be waiting and looking up in the skies or horizon...

This is taken from the same morning I've discovered the IG-88.

And there he is! Man of the shadows, Han Solo.

There's much anticipation between this trio and this scene here isn't making any changes to it. Han is holding his DL-44 blaster, while trying to talk a away from the situ. But wait, is Bossk trying to pull something out of his sleeve? Oh, no, he sure is the master to ruin the possible deal with them...

If you remember, this is a continuation to a scene I did earlier, titled as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly featuring Bossk and Boba Fett and the man in the shadows. You might remember a scene before, if you've been recently here. I have also a teaser version for this scene.

A choosing the right frame from the 50+ frames I've done with this scene, can be sometimes simply a nightmare. I wonder whether I would have chosen the version with a bit different light, if I would have done the picking part on some other day? Well, there's no reason to ramble here, as I can share the others anyway and anyday (if I want). This is a fourth pic for the series with Boba, Bossk and Han (if you count the teaser, too!). If I do remember right, there is a few more scenes for this series still on a queue.

"Res luk ra'auf."

This figure has been in the works on and off for a few months now for a commission I took way too long to complete. I was finally able to finish him after finals!

This figure is fully sculpted, featuring magnetic arms, a ball jointed neck, and a new ball jointed hip piece.

Bossk was really fun to make, and I got to utilize lots of new techniques that I'd never done before. For example, his collar was made of a low E string from a guitar, and the head was sculpted over the official headpiece. I tried to apply a wash to him so the yellow wasn't so overwhelming, but I couldn't get it to look right and decided to leave the base coat as it is.

Got some non-Star Wars content on the way in addition to the many SW figs I've got in the works. So as always, expect more, and I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Here is the third mech in this series.

I had a lot of fun building this guy as I went into it with a clear sense of scale from the start.

I re-used the base because I don't have the space to keep building landscapes but I did add a little island using a technique that I saw Thomas_Jenkins_bricks use in his wonderful Not So Super Six

Hope you like it!

Man in the shadows has come out.

If you do remember, this is a continuation to a scene I did earlier, titled as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly featuring Bossk and Boba Fett and the man in the shadows. You might remember a scene before, if you're sharp as knife!

This is a teaser to forthcoming scene, which will be pretty much the same as this one, but with a visibility. You can't really tell whose the third guy, but I'm sure many of you know it already... :D

An artistic portrait of Bossk the Bounty Hunter.

Looking back to my old photos is sometimes quite a ride. You come across the photos you thought you have deleted a long long time ago...

Bossk is really moving towards Han. Han is pulling away and just maybe putting his blaster down. I'm sure he can talk in a voice of reason for a bounty hunter that looks like a big reptile!

If you do remember, this is a continuation to a scene I did earlier, titled as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly featuring Bossk and Boba Fett and The Man of the Shadows. You might remember a scene before, if you've been recently here. I also have a teaser version for a check-up.

This is a upload of a two scenes together. I thought, this series needs this kind of treatment today, a bit cinematic, film-like -esque :)

There was a whisper in the air and Bossk heard it.

Bossk and Boushh were trying to make a deal of the bounties they're both had collected over the recent months with Maz. Yes, with Maz! And just because, they're were offered a much bigger job from the Empire and there was no time to pick the prizes this time.

Maz seemed to be an obvious choice for storing their bounties , but it seems like a whisper Bossk just heard, is something he may have to stick to. They're making a deal on their own, behind the Bossk's back. A much better deal...

The Empire usually issues orders for retrieval of stolen imperial vehicles that bandits are very quick to dismount. Bossk and IG-88 has teamed-up to retrieve an old imperial dropship which has been largely modified. The bandits are to be put under imperial disposition. Easy money for the bounty hunters team - they are no deal for their unified skills.

Here is the third mech in this series.

I had a lot of fun building this guy as I went into it with a clear sense of scale from the start.

Hope you like it!

Okay guys, what minifigure do you think this is a part of?

Hint: It is not Bossk. :P

The bounty hunters, Boba Fett and Bossk didn’t liked what Han was offering. His vision was to walk free and pay later to Jabba the Hutt. “No”, said Boba to Han. “There’s no way you going to walk freely, you’re going to pay right here and now, or I will book you a flight on carbon freezing chamber!”. Han walked a few steps further. He surely didn’t wanted that, again!

This is a continuation to the series of scenes I did a few months ago. Make sure you check out The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (alternative version), Bossk’s Move, Man of the Shadows, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (teaser), The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and Bossk + Boba Frame.

This frame differs from the series. I wanted to go to another direction within this one by photographing it in a daylight. Hope you don’t mind. I’d just didn’t wanted to have another frame, that look exactly like the rest of the series. You know… you have seen those already!

Lego Star Wars Episode V Empire Strikes Back

Bossk and fellow bounty hunter Zarg have received a bounty to capture a Wookie alive, what better place to do so that Kashyyyk. This is my final vignette for @rebellug ‘s #vignweek2019 competition. I had 2 days to build it. What do you think?

Original caption from May 2013 post says: "Little known fact: Bossk was actually a laid back fella when off duty. As a rule, the Trandoshan metabolism didn't allow him to go out in the freezing temperatures on Hoth (danger of triggering a hibernation cycle), but around noon it wasn't that bad. After the Empire's "incident" on Hoth, Bossk spent some free time hanging out with his friend TK-24/7. Flying the Slave 1 with a remote and using it as a snowblower was great fun, Bossk just couldn't wipe that smile off his face."

I know, I am more inclined to dig up old fossils from archives that shoot new stuff these days, but the truth is that at this very moment I don't have a space to shoot in.

Unless I went outdoors... That's not a bad idea, actually.

Who is the man in the shadows, approaching Bossk and Boba? Is he come to a negotiate a deal of lifetime with the bounty hunters? All this (and more!) is already answered here!

This is an alternative version of a Bossk + Boba frame titled as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly I did a few months ago. Personally I really dig this frame, it's all in-camera (except the coloring). I'd just love the continue within this series, even tho, this is an oldie.

Gotta love that bounty hunter battle pack. Anyway, wanna try to get a shot of Bossk, possibly IG-88 as well. Idk what I could do with 4-LOM, other than a recreation scene from Episode V. We'll see. The photography potential with these guys is too high to be ignored :)

No Photoshop used on any of my images

“I hate the cold!” Bossk was going to make this bounty pay. Not only had they escaped his grasp on Jakku, but they fled to is frozen wasteland. “Black Sun is going to pay me double for this one”

Made the nose and wings each a couple of studs shorter, to make it a bit more compact when compared with an X-Wing. Also raised the back part of the "hump" by one plate, and added arch pieces just behind the cockpit to better smooth it off. Lastly, I replaced the canopy piece with one an A-Wing canopy for a better shape.

The GNK droid is a design by h2brick www.flickr.com/photos/145675635@N03/ that I simply copied.

. . . Hunters of Gentlemen.

So about a week ago I threw together kind of an old 1940's pulp-adventure serial style version of Boba Fett using the new CMF Retro Space Guy parts.

Then I decided he needed some friends.

Dennis,

Ignatius 88,

Bob Feterra,

Boris,

Zachariah,

and Lombard 4.

These are just for the hell of it, so I'm not gonna go through parts, and I kinda wish I had this idea back when Kaiju Dan's contest was still on. Ah well.

Cheers folks!

Lego Star Wars Episode V - Empire Strikes Back

There, now that some of us have Jane's Addiction stuck in our heads, I figured I should get back to bricks.

So I acquired the new Shocker arms, and instantly felt the desire to apply them to a fig that isn't nearly as dreadful. Then I just started making Shocker figs. Here are the results!

TL: Blank yellow head, Wolverine torso, Shocker arms, Catman legs.

TR: My old-school Shocker fig. CMF head, Bossk torso, Galaxy Squad legs.

BL: 2011 Dino head, 2011 Dino torso, Shocker arms, CMF Strongman legs with the printing removed.

BR: Snowspeeder pilot head, reversed Wolverine torso, Eraser arms, Catman legs.

I wanna get the Pineapple head that Venompool used, but I've yet to get my hands on it.

Until then, lemme know what you think!

PS: Don't type in "Shocker" to Google images. It won't come up with this guy.

This is just another fun photo I took ... BUT it's also a teaser for an upcoming MOC, get excited ;)

Left to Right

Tinkerer: I trimmed up his jacket, gave him a new helmet from Star Wars and a new head that is also from Star Wars

Daredevil: Gave him Flash’s cowl, Red arms, and Brickforge vambraces

Lizard: I thought the dinosaur dudes parts looked silly. So I gave him Bossks Head

Tell Me Your Thoughts

The Hound's Tooth is a modified YV-666 Freighter, used by the Trandoshan bounty hunter Bossk.

Dimensions:

115 studs long

50-stud wingspan

I built this back in January 2016 for a Star Wars themed show that ToroLUG was involved in, and when I went to shred it last week I realized I had never photographed it.
