Photography means so much to me. I moved a lot as a kid. Lost a lot of friends as a kid. Forgot a lot of things as a kid. I record it all. I need to. I’d be lost without it. I’ve realized that over the last year of taking pictures every single day.
Oh and if you listen to music, you should listen to PMToday. They are fan-freakin-tastic. Seriously. :) For fans of anything good. They are like Progress in Color and Fall of Troy meets Chiodos, and Death Cab all together, sort of. :) Check them out regardless.

I'm borrowing a friends T3I to film video for my kickstarter project, so I'll have a little extra fun shooting with a dslr for the first time in 4 or so months. It doesn't even seem that long ago when my camera was stolen...
After borrowing one from www.stuckincustoms.com/links/BorrowLenses, my shipment finally arrived from sweet lady B&H. This is now the backup camera to my D3X, and if you want to know the reasons why I got it (and why it's my backup), visit my Nkion D3S Review page. In fact, I already popped my new 85mm prime lens on there... so more pics coming soon for the Nikon 85mm Review.
I'll be packing it up for the upcoming trip to New Zealand. Thanks for all the comments on that page, btw - I am going to be following up on that stuff soon, in addition to setting up a photowalk in Christchurch to compete with the one in Auckland! These are free events, so all my internet Kiwi friends are welcome to attend!

This makes you think twice about the three-point baby harness in your 4000 lb SUV, doesn't it? Actually, I remember growing up in the 70's and sliding around the backseat vinyl of an old Caddy, swinging ponderously around roads of Texas. Now, it seems to take me an extra 10 minutes to get everyone strapped in, like we are on final entry into the atmosphere!
A bunch of people on a motorbike (or stuffed into a car) is not an uncommon site in India, or dozens of other countries around the world. It's always a bit hard to capture. I don't like using a flash, because I don't want to startle the poor driver.
The most people on a motorbike I have seen is six -- and I've seen that multiple times in India and all over Southeast Asia. Often times, the young kids are smashing between the parents or older siblings. I haven't seen seven people on board yet, but I hold out hope.
She's still borrowing Disney's wig, I hope I would get a darker one to her. I love the pic, Alessa looks beautiful n__n
Borrowing the title from Jimi Hendrix "Purple Haze"... if those hippie freaks of the late sixties had seen this they probably would have related it to acid.
Megan and Clara are borrowing one of the lifejackets from the rack at the Lindon Marina. Clara is preparing to head out into the murky water of Utah Lake.

... sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together.

this is the last of the fog shot series... and i believe we're slowly reaching the end of the hiddensee series as well... i'll go through the files again tonight and see if i come up with anything share-worthy that i might have forgotten.
Nappy Choo is borrowing Neelie's outfit, which was made by NixiPixie. It consists of a hat, sweater, and shorts. It all fits Nappy Choo perfectly -- excpet on NC the shorts are pant length. Oh, except the socks. The Pukifee set came with socks but they are too narrow for Nappy Choo's chubby legs.

I am borrowing the Flickr Friday theme of the week for our group, too, as it is giving me a chance to take a photo I have long wanted to take.
The Week#239 theme will be CHANGE.
To give us a lift towards our choice of image, nothing better than:
The Serenity Prayer:
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference.
To depict serenity to accept the things one can not change, another image of my lovely mother-in-law that you already know as she has graciously posed for varios photos we have seen in these groups.
Here, she is smiling, in advanced stages of Alzheimer's and bedridden with a broken femur, holding a memory of times past.
I recently put two older characters together after borrowing their bodies for other characters. It's good to have them back.
Emergent takes inspiration from the history of the Canadian Pacific Railway, borrowing elements of blackened rails and wooden ties to create both a place-making sculpture and a welcoming seating area, lit with the classic CPR red. The work serves as a reminder of the layers of the past, as is evident in the design of the seating – shapes speaking to the first discovery of the natural gas in Alberta by the CPR, and in the angling of the vertical sculptural elements, reflecting the city’s iconic Calgary Tower. Through the use of contemporary materials, Emergent presents a play between the past and present, activating the plaza on one of Calgary’s most historic and prominent streets. - Jill Anholt, artist

He's borrowing Takara Jenny's blades to complete his outfit. Too bad Groove didn't include any with his stock.
Apart from borrowing the title from Rolling Stones, much inspiration to this and some similar recent shots come from the "Detroit School" of .insomniac and .brianday.
Rather than trying to make selfportraits, the idea that attracts me is the play with light and compositions, to see lines and architecture combined with the human presence.
I must have done twelve attempts on processing this one, before returning to the first... Some grain and blown-out white seemed just right....
