this took me the longest it has ever taken me to finish a concept edting wise and I guess this is the very first upload on my entire stream I'm actually fully happy with and, which is even more important, even a little proud of. we were shooting out in the woods yesterday after a day of a series of enormous thunder, mosquitos were nailing us and we were soaked when we got back, haha. but it was tons of fun :) we even found a tiny frog, check the comments ;)
if I had to list all the inspirations for this shot the list would quite possibly never end. the main ones are a recent dream of mine and the heartbreaking Disney quote above, though. every time his words come to my mind I tell myself that I will never end up not believing in magic and the extraordinary because its them which make life so much more interesting. it feels like I've always had a vivid imagination so I'm not actually worried :) even though the reference might not be obvious, I had the story of Little Red Riding Hood in my head when creating this which used to be one of my favorite fairy tales when growing up. I wish I'd had a red cape (I'd go crazy, I think :D).

Grey Seal pup at Donna Nook last week, one of many but the youngest one we saw. We think this one had probably been born the night before and still had is pink umbilical cord attached.

This lamb had just been born an hour before I arrived. This picture shows the remnants of its recent birth, as this new little one entered the world!

A two image blend from this mornings shoot with the Focus South Crew at Little Bay. The sky and the water in the distance was a single image shot for 6 minutes. The rocks and water in the foreground was another single image, shot at 0.5 sec. Had fun creating this one. Blended and reworked in PS CS5.

The Casper Mountain Dog Sled Races were this last weekend. I can't get over just how much those dogs love to run.

this is mine and angies new born baby that came into the world this saturday at 847pm.
angie was in labour for most of 33 hour before she was made to have a cesaerian which lasted for another hour and half.
her name is Tallulah Lilly and she was 9 pounds 11which is very big for a girl.
both are doing really well !!!!!!!!!!

She is one of Annie Montgomerie's wonderful creations, and we are so happy that she's joined our family :)

I loved the video Annie took of this girl riding through the kitchen at night time, and wished she could be mine.
I couldn't believe it when i visited The Imaginarium and saw that she was still looking for a new home! I went back to work but couldn't think of anything else, and so i went back for her that evening. I have to capture her in video myself sometime!
Just hours old, these two little Black-Necked Stilt babies are up and foraging for food. They were born on June 1st and by the next day the family had expanded with two more little stilts. If you look closely at the little chick on the right, the white spot on its beak is the remnants of the egg tooth needed to help the little chick break out of its shell.

If Lola were an athlete in the NFL she would be a tight end rather than a wide receiver. She can block, guard, tackle, and catch but with 81 lbs of lean muscle she does not change direction with the facility of a Jack Russel or a Border Collie. She powers through obstacles. She is fearless. In barn hunt competition she is known to move hay bales to get to the prize. In agility competition she will leap over any barrier with ease and negotiate the the seesaw with aplomb.
