Église Saint-Pierre
L'église Saint-Pierre possède des fondations du XIe siècle et un portail Romain du XIIe siècle.
Le portail est classé monument historique depuis le 8 mai 1936. Considéré comme "étriqué" et faisant "désordre" en 1935, il avait été projeté de le vendre pour le remplacer par un portail moderne. Seul le classement permit de le sauver !!!
L'ensemble de l'édifice fut inscrit à l'inventaire des Monuments Historiques en 2003.

LO SCRIBA ROSSO.
Lo Scriba rosso o Scriba seduto è uno dei più importanti esempi di arte egizia dell'Antico Regno. Si tratta di una statua in pietra calcarea dipinta raffigurante uno scriba all'opera. La scultura venne scoperta a nord del Corridoio delle Sfingi del Serapeo di Saqqara nel novembre 1850 dall'egittologo francese Auguste Mariette. Attualmente fa parte della collezione di antichità egiziane del Louvre ed è la più celebre di una serie di «scribi» tra cui è anche famoso quello del Museo del Cairo.
Lo Scriba rosso, alto circa 54 cm, indossa un gonnellino bianco teso sulle ginocchia e tra le mani trattiene un papiro semiarrotolato. Le mani sono in posizione di scrittura e con tutta probabilità la destra teneva un pennello, oramai perduto. Mani, dita e unghie della scultura sono finemente modellate, tanto da farle sembrare perfette.
Per realizzare i capezzoli sono state applicate sull'ampio petto due piccole borchie di legno.

THE RED SCRIBE.
The Red Scribe or Seated Scribe is one of the most important examples of Egyptian art of the Old Kingdom. It is a painted limestone statue depicting a scribe at work. The sculpture was discovered north of the Sphinx Corridor of the Saqqara Serapeum in November 1850 by the French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette. It is currently part of the Louvre's collection of Egyptian antiquities and is the most famous of a series of "scribes" among which the one of the Cairo Museum is also famous.
The red Scribe, about 54 cm tall, wears a white skirt stretched over his knees and holds a semi-rolled papyrus in his hands. The hands are in a writing position and in all probability the right held a brush, now lost. Hands, fingers and nails of the sculpture are finely modeled, so that they look perfect.
To make the nipples, two small wooden studs were applied to the broad chest.

The bronze Boxer of Quirinal, also known as the Terme Boxer, is a Hellenistic Greek sculpture from the 1st century BC of a sitting boxer with cestus, in the collection of the National Museum of Rome. It is one of the two unrelated bronzes discovered on the slopes of the Quirinal within a month of each other in 1885, possibly from the remains of the Baths of Constantine. It appears that both had been carefully buried in antiquity. The realism of the portraiture suggests that it is a particular boxer, with a boxer's scars and broken nose. The sculpture is soldered together from eight separately cast segments. The lips and wounds and scars about the face were originally inlaid with copper, and further copper inlays on the right shoulder, forearm, cestus and thigh represented drops of blood.
La statua bronzea Pugilatore in riposo, conosciuta anche come Pugile delle Terme o Pugile del Quirinale, è una scultura greca del periodo tardoellenistico risalente al I secolo a.C., opera di un artista della scuola di Lisippo. La statua si trova a Roma nel Museo Nazionale Romano.
Il soggetto dell'opera è un pugile seduto, che probabilmente si riposa dopo un incontro, con alle mani i cesti (dal latino: caestus):grossi e complessi guantoni per ripararsi le mani durante l'incontro. Le quattro dita sono infilate in un pesante anello, costituito da tre fasce di cuoio tenute insieme da delle borchie metalliche. La statua è basata sul contrasto fra la quiete, espressa dalle braccia appoggiate sulle gambe, e l'improvviso scatto della testa che si volta verso destra. Il corpo è muscoloso, ma il viso, di cui si notano la cura della barba e della pettinatura, è di un uomo maturo.La scultura è uno dei due bronzi scoperti su un versante del Quirinale nel 1885, probabilmente nei resti delle Terme di Costantino; le sculture, a quanto pare, furono seppellite in antichità con cura. Il realismo del pugile in riposo ci indica che il soggetto dell'opera è un pugile in particolare, con ferite da combattimento ed il naso rotto
National Museum of Rome - Palazzo Massimo
Formerly the site of the preparatory school "Massimiliano Massimo", the building was constructed in 1883-87 by Camillo Pistrucci in imitation of the noble residences of the early Roman baroque period.
Exhibited in the central hall are works that illustrate the political and ideological program of Augustus, including the statue of Augustus dressed as the Pontifex Maximus from the Via Labicana and the pictorial frieze of the noble sepulchre from the Esquiline hill.
The first floor offers iconographic works from the Age of the Flavians to the late Empire, with examples of the decorations used on imperial villas and aristocratic residences.In the section featuring the physical activities related to gymnasiums and public baths, visitors can admire two copies of the Discus Thrower by Myron.
The following section holds important sarcophagi, including an oval-shaped work from Acilia.
The second floor offers in-depth documentation on mosaic and pictorial decorations from the Ist cent. B.C. to the late Imperial Age.
On the basement level, a rich coin collection is displayed, including extremely rare pieces, such as the medaillon of Theodoric, the silver piasters of the Pontifical State with views of Rome snd the four ducats of Pope Paul II. The exhibition is completed by a section on luxury in the Roman world, featuring a rich selection of jems and jewels.
Museo Nazionale Romano - Palazzo Massimo
Il Palazzo, in precedenza sede del Collegio "Massimiliano Massimo", fu costruito nel 1883-87 da Camillo Pistrucci sul modello dei palazzi nobiliari del primo barocco romano.
Nel salone centrale sono esposte opere che illustrano il programma politico-ideologico di Augusto come la statua di Augusto in veste di Pontefice Massimo dalla Via Labicana e il fregio pittorico del sepolcro gentilizio dell'Esquilino.
Il Primo piano propone opere iconografiche dall'età dei Flavi al tardo Impero con esempi di decorazioni delle ville imperiali e delle residenze aristocratiche.
Nella sezione dedicata alla cultura fisica dei ginnasi e delle Terme si possono ammirare due repliche dl Discobolo di Mirone. Nella sezione successiva sono esposti importanti sarcofagi tra cui quello di Acilia, di forma ovale.
Il Secondo piano presenta un'ampia documentazione delle decorazioni musive e pittoriche dal I sec. a.C. alla tarda età imperiale.
Nel Seminterrato è esposta una ricca collezione di pezzi delle raccolte numismatiche tra cui esemplari rarissimi come il medaglione di Teodorico, le piastre in argento dello Stato Pontificio con vedute di Roma e i quattro ducati di Paolo II. L'esposizione è completata da una sezione dedicata al lusso nel mondo romano con una ricca selezione di gemme e gioielli.

Sabrymoon is wearing "Molly", a very youthful and casual outfit, made up of a nice short sleeveless dress with a waisted belt and beautiful high-heeled shoes with a strap above the ankle and decorated with two chains on the heel... to complete the outfit is also included the beautiful necklace with a pendant composed of two half moons.
Sabrymoon is also wearing the bracelets called "Giovi", very seductive, created with braided material and spikes... really beautiful !!!

Un Euzone durante uno spostamento richiesto dal suo servizio di guardia.
Questi spostamenti vengono effettuati con un inconsueto passo di marcia.
Tsarúchi - uno dei simboli più forti del costume euzoniano - è la scarpa interamente realizzata a mano, in duro cuoio rosso.
Un paio di tsarúchi pesa circa 3 kg, poiché hanno 120 borchie e ferri di cavallo sul fondo.
Secondo la tradizione, le lame, utili per il combattimento corpo a corpo, erano nascoste nella grande nappa nera degli tsarúchi.
Gli Éuzones durante la loro marcia battono lo tsarúchi "in modo che i morti Ignoti della Nazione potessero sentire".

These movements are carried out with an unusual pace.
Tsarúchi - one of the strongest symbols of the Euzonian costume - is the shoe made entirely by hand, in hard red leather.
A pair of tsarúchi weighs about 3 kg, as they have 120 studs and horseshoes on the bottom.
According to tradition, the blades, useful for hand-to-hand combat, were hidden in the large black tassel of the tsarúchi.
The Éuzones during their march beat the tsarúchi "so that the Unknown dead of the Nation could hear".

Sì lo so, dico sempre che non ho tempo e poi sono sempre qui di nuovo.
Ma stavolta è l'ultimo respiro davvero.
Guardate il tempo di esposizione di questa foto: è il tempo libero che ho avuto a disposizione oggi (sommandolo chiaramente a quello che sto usando per scrivere queste due righe).
Da stasera, dopo questa breve boccata d'aria, mi ritiro nelle mie sbarre a forma di libro, con una preghierina perchè i miei sacrifici possano non risultare vani.
