Ruins of a gas station formerly owned by a man named Ed Young. In the late 1920's during prohibition he discovered he could make more money selling moonshine than gas, so he sold a lot of moonshine.
if you think it looks familiar it should, this also appears in my book, Abandoned Texas: Under A Lone Star Moon on pages 54 & 55.
Night, near full moon, 180 second exposure, handheld light producing device set to pink.
Click on the image, because it's best BIG on BLACK!!!
After emerging from Moab Tunnel, this UP passenger special is slowly rolling through Bootlegger Canyon. High above the train, we can see the famous Corona Arch on the left side of the frame. One of the countless natural arch formations that can be found in and around Arches National Park. Corona Arch itself is actually location outside of the park.

"Kaws" from "Snorty & Friends Re-Born Rainbow" - series (by Steven Lee aka Steven House) - it turned out to be a bootleg, but I still dig it :]
Became a patron and get new PDF building instructions every week!
Find me on:
UP LDG51B notches upgrade through Bootlegger Canyon with a train of potash loads in tow. I was hoping to get a reflection shot here with the Colorado River, but to my dismay, I found only a small puddle and a barren riverbed after I walked down the closed boat ramp.

I usually drive past this place and have told myself to stop if I ever find it open to go in....so finally, it happened. Made friends too!

Let us be clear—online piracy is a real problem that harms the wold economy, and threatens jobs

An empty coal train bound for Signal Peak Mine rolls down Bozeman pass with three MRL SDs hitching a ride back to Laurel.
The three pack brought a Laurel-Helena train to the state's capitol the previous night in a pinch for power, and are now hitching a ride East to return to their normal assignments.

well...as you can see....at last...I use the printed head not the helmet I made because I just think this will be a little bit better....but anyway....I made a hole on cap's back so I can stuck a minifig hand to hold the shield :)
The Potash turn has 11 loads as it climbs away from The Colorado River and heads into Bootlegger Canyon. At 92 degrees, I should have sent the drone up here!
Found these bootlegs on AliExpress under the search 'romance of the three kingdoms heroes'. And yes, I bought some of them because I could not resist.
Ironically I own a pair of the actual part its based off, but they are tan which I'm not complaining about, I just wish I had tan paint for some TT parts. So I made this.
Also, design belongs to Eclipse Grafx
M&E MO-1 looking more like a discounted version of NJ Transit's Aqua Train rolling west on the Morris and Essex Line at Lake Estling in Denville, NJ, with two tank cars for Chester Jct.
The Potash Local reaches the south end of Bootlegger Canyon, and wraps around the edge of the red rocks to rejoin the Colorado River for the remainder of the journey to Potash.

With two EMD rebuilds on the head end, TRANSAP train 60.021 rolls down the grade eastbound through the Sepultura along FEPASA’s Subdivisión 10, the only railroad mainline connecting the capital city of Santiago in the Metropolitan Region to San Antonio, one of Chile’s busiest port cities residing in the Valparaiso Region. The eastbound TRANSAP train is bound for Los Lirios in the outskirts of Rancagua, hauling 29 empty sulfuric acid tank cars; these trains go back and forth between Los Lirios and San Antonio on a frequent basis hauling the acid to the port for distribution, making them easy subjects for buffs around the region.
TRANSAP SD39-M3 D-2302 leads with SD40-M3 D-3005 [now D-3051] trailing second. Both units sport TRANSAPs corporate livery, heavily resembling CSX’s YN2 scheme with some noticeable differences. D-2302 is one of four of the class on the roster, originally built as ACL 917 in November 1966 and rebuilt by MPI San Luis Potosi. D-3005/3051 was originally built as CP 5607 in June 1972. It would fall into National Railway Equipment’s ownership where it would be rebuilt as an SD40-3. It would be shipped off to Chile in January 2022.
