It was a busy day, ending with a Pfizer booster shot that took me out of commission… on the plus side "Christmas" came early with a new cell phone. Santa forgot to install a home button on the new iPhones so it's going to be a jumbled Christmas figuring it all out!

This is me just after having my booster shot at our local medical centre. I'm smiling at you all under the mask!

Abused & Abandoned Jungle Dogs.
With small cooler in hand I was the first
one through the door this morning at
the dog clinic. Two syringes filled
with booster medications and
ice were loaded into the
small cooler. Next stop,
The Monkey Temple.
Snuck into The Dog Palace, opened
The Bingo Room, fed The Pipsqueak.
Next stop, Mr Kind Monks Place.
Luckily, both dogs were outside
as no one was home. Slid a leash
over Molly's head & proceeded to
inject her with the two inoculations.
Laid out some kibble with chicken gravy.
Now, at this point I took off for home.
Wanted to be in an out quickly today.
The Honey Do list is long & I need
to get busy without any delays ;-)-

This old lady is relieved.... but flabbergasted by seeing all the folks living in denial fueled by misinformation, and horrified at the expense in terms of lives lost or forever altered, the grief, the economic impact , and awed by the heroic work by health care workers.

Daar gaan we weer. De leugenmachine draait op volle toeren! Nu weer over de boosters. Een heel simpele weerlegging en een interessante conclusie als slot.
Volgens een nieuwe studie uit het Verenigd Koninkrijk zouden de boostervaccins onze immuniteit tegen het coronavirus niet alleen verbeteren, maar zelfs beter maken dan de bescherming die we origineel kregen na een volledige vaccinatie.
Dat klinkt natuurlijk weer fantastisch. Net zo fantastisch als de oorspronkelijke berichten over de oorspronkelijke vaccinaties, maar die bleken nogal tegen te vallen. Wat zou er nu dan anders zijn?
Nou, let even op...
De nieuwe studie bekeek het effect van een derde dosis Pfizer bij 50-plussers. De bescherming tegen een symptomatische infectie met het coronavirus bleek bij alle vaccins achteruit te gaan vanaf tien weken na de tweede dosis en significant te dalen na vier tot zes maanden.
Dat veranderde als de booster werd toegediend. Wie eerst twee prikken met het vaccin van AstraZeneca had gekregen, zag een toename van de bescherming tegen een symptomatische infectie van 44 naar 93 procent. Wie twee dosissen Pfizer had gekregen, zag dat cijfer van 62,5 naar 94 procent gaan.

A number of vaccine experts are warning that the U.S. may be sleepwalking into a policy of recommending annual COVID-19 booster injections without having any evidence to show they are actually needed.
The U.S. appears to be headed toward a policy of annual boosters as a sort of default position, not one arrived at by careful scrutiny of the evidence.
“It’s alarming that there hasn’t been organization around these vital questions, so that we can actually answer them in a very enlightened and data-driven and knowledgeable manner,” said Luciana Borio, a former acting chief scientist at the FDA who is now a senior fellow for global health at the Council on Foreign Relations.
“It’s so reactive,” Borio said during a briefing for journalists. “And we know that this just snowballs. And we end up being stuck with decisions that don’t really make sense.”
“The only question was what were we going to boost with, not whether we were going to boost,” said Paul Offit, a member of the FDA’s vaccine advisory panel.
