It's not really called the Bookcase Building but that's what I like to call it because it reminds me so much of a bookcase or library. This building is located near Victoria rail station.

Our old sweet boy. He is 11 y.o. and suffers from arthritis and syringomyelia. He cannot run for the ball any more, but still asks to give him a ball and he holds the ball in his mouth for the duration of the walk...

The front facade of the building now occupied by Mizuho Bank and Forvis Mazars (chartered accountants) situated on the London street curiously named "Old Bailey", just down and across the street from the criminal courts building, also referred to as the Old Bailey. Flickr is full of pictures of this colourful building (each of those 'books' is a different colour) so I decided to show it in a slightly different way, taking the colour out of it and letting the strong lines of the building dictate the feel of the shot.

Sometimes photo's taken in our surroundings turn out to be as good as those captured after hours in search of a great shot, miles away from home. This shot caught my eye, with the colours and light of a bookcase through the distorted view of a glass candlestick holder.

I had to come in for a minute yesterday from watching the iris and notice how the sun came through the door and landed on the bookshelf. I didn't know the videos were there. They aren't mine but everything else is.
I moved 2 books on a bookcase so Bella could choose between classic poetry & cryptic crossword puzzles. As you can see, she chose the poems. She isn’t interested in reading, but I suspect her choice was influenced by the proximity of treats!

Amongst the many knick knacks I have around the house is this British Army entrenching tool*; as you see, the blade and the handle separate for ease of carrying. It usually rests on top of the, now empty, bookcase in the background. A couple of days ago the handle fell down behind the bookcase … so all the books had to come out for it to be retrieved :(

Apparently since there are other cats on this bookcase, Xyla decided to add herself to the mix. I'm not sure how she got in there without disturbing the decorations.
