Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a green day at Color my World Daily and a running /laundry folding day at my house. So why not celebrating with a green picture ?
And since I got all those new props from China why not try to incorporate them in my green picture ? So here it is : my vintage green book for a good read, a tiny reading lamp in case it is too dark (or you are just at this point in your life when you need extra lamp for reading…) and a tiny green house in case it is raining and you have to go inside in order to read your book…I hope you will like my picture !!
I have to run before folding my laundry and before all my motivation disappear !! See you later !!
Sorry for not answering my comments and not commenting your pictures as much as I should… I will try to catch up as soon as possible !! Until then, stay well and safe my friends !!
Mucho, mucho amor for you all !!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!!

“That’s the magic of literature. We read a story, and something happens. We don’t know what or why, nor which sentence was responsible, but the world has changed and will never be the same again. Sometimes it take us several years to realize that a book tore a hole in reality through which we could escape from the pettiness and despondency of our surroundings” ~ The Book of Dreams

Idea and Production by Maren. Check out her version.
Couple enjoying an activity together that is both enjoyable and educational.
One day, one night, one moment,
With a dream to believe in.
One step, one fall, one falter,
And a new earth across a wide ocean.
This way became my journey,
This day ends together, Far and Away.
Songwriters: Eithne Ni Bhraonain / Nicky Ryan / Roma Shane Ryan

Let me watch by the fire and remember my days
And it may be a trick of the firelight
But the flickering pages that trouble my sight
Is a book I'm afraid to write
It's the book of my days, it's the book of my life
And it's cut like a fruit on the blade of a knife
And it's all there to see as the section reveals
There's some sorrow in every life
If it reads like a puzzle, a wandering maze
Then I won't understand â??til the end of my days
I'm still forced to remember,
Remember the words of my life

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shakespeare_and_Company_(bookstore) Such a fun spot to visit in Paris! This little bookstore is famous and has quite an interesting history. If you are a poor but aspiring writer, you might find a place to sleep among the bookshelves in exchange for working there! The shop's motto, "Be Not Inhospitable to Strangers Lest They Be Angels in Disguise," is written above the entrance to the reading library.
"Our life is one open book full of pages. We laugh, we cry, we smile, we stumble, we stand, we fall and we succeed. Every chapter defines who we really are."
Some new wonderful things just waiting for you to go grab them! In this scene we have new items from .:revival:., {vespertine}, and Camdem.
From Camdem we have a brand new group gift! It's a lovely sketchbook with charcoal pencils. This sketchbook comes with a hud that allows you to change the color of the book, the drawing inside the book, and the metal color on the edges of the pages. One thing I love about Camdem's work is that there are so many options with just one item. You can grab this new group gift here:

New from .:revival:. we have an amazing birdcage garden bench. So many possibilities for this one. It comes in two versions, with our without pillows (pillows are texture change) and comes in PG and Adult versions as well. Such a great piece to have in any garden! Available now at FaMESHed: maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/FaMESHed/129/157/1998

Next we have some GORGEOUS roses by {vespertine}. I use roses all year round when decorating and these do not disappoint! The arrangements come in the following colors: beige tones, pink tones, and red tones. There is also a bottled single rose that has a texture change for the color of rose you want! Pick between red, yellow, black, light pink, white, and pink. Rez one or rez them all! Also includes bottled eucalyptus. A tiny book - with a maximum dimension of just under 75mm (3").
I had to laugh at the title and contents - The book was suggested to me by my partner which she pulled from her bookshelf.

“..reading a book doesn’t mean just turning the pages. It means thinking about it, identifying parts that you want to go back to, asking how to place it in a broader context, pursuing the ideas. There’s no point in reading a book if you let it pass before your eyes and then forget about it ten minutes later. Reading a book is an intellectual exercise, which stimulates thought, questions, imagination.” ~Occupy
Back to my heart project. I've had this idea in my head for quite a while but don't love the execution so just think concept. The puppy knocked the books over like dominoes so we are done for today.
“Every book, every volume you see here, has a soul. The soul of the person who wrote it and of those who read it and lived and dreamed with it. Every time a book changes hands, every time someone runs his eyes down its pages, its spirit grows and strengthens.”
― Carlos Ruiz Zafón,
Books
Every once in a while I spend a little time preparing books that I have bought, for sale. This is one of those times. I will be away from Flickr for 3 or 4 days but I will be back answering all the comments and favourites that have been left. I wish to thank all those who have supported me and will be back soon.
Best wishes to you all.
Patrick
PS The book shown is not one I am selling at present, just representative of what I have sold in the past.
